She was born on September 15, 1929, the daughter of Paul and Elsa (Hasz) Meyer. On October 1, 1949, she married the love of her life, Don Meyer. Together they farmed north of Loganville and raised their family. After her family was a little older, she went back to school and received her GED, her CNA certification and then began her twenty year career at the Sauk County Health Care Center. After her husband died, Dolores worked for a few years in the kitchen at the Loganville School serving the children. She was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Loganville, a member of the church choir, Ladies Aid, LWML and the cemetery board. Her hobbies included quilting, reading, spending time with her family and friends, helping with Orphan Grain Train and any other church work. She is survived by two daughters: Ellen (Darrell) DeMars and Lois (Dennis) Rose, both of Reedsburg; six grandchildren: Mike DeMars and Joni, of Loganville; Michelle (Kris) Lierman, of Reedsburg; Melanie DeMars and John, of Lyndon Station; Marcie DeMars and Brad, of Ironton; Daniel Rose and Kim (Chad) Leichtman, both of Reedsburg; six great-grandchildren: Gunther, Addie, Isaac, Olivia, Bryce and Ellie; her brother: Marvin Meyer, of Reedsburg; her sisters: Elaine Stageman, of Beloit and Margaret (Jerry) Christerson, of Tennessee. She is also survived by a sister-in-law: Louise (Richard) Kaun; brother-in-law: Jim Brown; daughter-in-law: Sue Meyer; half-sister: Emma Weible; along with many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; son: Evan; her parents; an infant sister; her brother: Ray Meyer; sisters: Helen Stoughtenger and Alice Adams; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. He was a faithful lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Loganville any was active in Luther Laymen's League, A.A.L. and Orphan Grain Train. Marvin enjoyed watching sports on the television. Survivors include his three children: Kathleen (Tom) Genz, of Reedsburg; Richard (Laura) Meyer, of LaValle and Charles (Connie) Meyer, of Reedsburg; eight grandchildren: Brian, Dawn, Michael, Mitchell, Malissa, Steven, Amy and Sarah; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Elaine Stageman, of Beloit and Margaret (Gerald) Christerson, of Tennessee; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, on November 11, 2009; his parents; one brother: Ray Meyer and four sisters: Dolores Meyer, Alice Adams, Helen Stoughtenger and infant, Emma Meyer. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 9, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. He was born on Aug. 3, 1953, in Richland Center, the son of Donald and Dolores (Meyer) Meyer. Evan was a 1971 graduate of Webb High School in Reedsburg. On June 29, 1974, Evan married his high school sweetheart, Sue Ellen Kelley. He farmed and worked for Wisconsin Dairies for 22 years. He and Sue moved to New Mexico in 2001. Evan then began working for the City of Deming as assistant waste water operator and also worked in various other departments for the city until his illness. Following Tuesday's election in New Mexico, Luna County, an emotional Jay Spivey dedicated his District No. 2 win to his close personal friend, Evan Meyer. Evan enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. Survivors include his wife, Sue; his mother, Dolores Meyer of Reedsburg; two sisters, Ellen (Darrell) DeMars and Lois (Dennis) Rose both of Reedsburg; his mother-in-law, Jeanette Kelley of Reedsburg; his brother-in-law, Bill (Mary) Kelley of Iron Mountain, Mich; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins; special friends, Frank and Jill, Dave and Sherry, Ron and Mary, John and Sherry; and a host of other friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Meyer; and his father-in-law, Kenneth Kelley. Alice fought bravely but the complications she experienced after her fall and head injury in April were too severe to overcome. Alice was born at home on September 12, 1930 in the Township of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, the daughter of Paul and Elsa (Hasz) Meyer. She married Vivian Andrew Adams on July 2, 1948 at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Parsonage in Loganville, Wisconsin. This union was blessed with 3 children: Robert (Bob) J. (Angel) Adams, of Loganville and twins Randell (Randy)L. (Kris) Niemann, of Harpers Ferry, IA and Andell (Andy) L. (Deb) Adams of Reedsburg. Alice had 7 grandchildren: Aaren Adams of Baraboo, Casey (Kari) Adams of Reedsburg, Kelly (Eric) Bugg of Orlando, FL, Megan (Travis) Miller of Eau Claire, Tiana Connelly, Kim Connelly of West Union, IA and Carrie Connelly of Jamestown, ND. She also had 10 great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Marvin Meyer of Loganville and sisters: Dolores Meyer of Reedsburg, Elaine (Max) Stageman of Beloit and Margaret (Jerry) Christerson in TN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Vivian,grand-daughter Tiana Connelly, an infant sister, her parents, her in-laws: Joseph and V. Dolores Adams, her brother Raymond and his wife Arlene Meyer, her sister Helen and her husband James Stoughtenger, brothers-in-law Lloyd Eyers, Donald Meyer and sister-in-law Dorothy Meyer. In her younger years, Alice worked as an egg candler at the Reedsburg Egg Company and also at the Reedsburg Woolen Mill as a payroll clerk before going into business with her husband at the Loganville Meat Market. In the years preceding her retirement, she worked in the Dietary Department of the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. Alice was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church and enjoyed her bible circle group. She was very proud to be the first tenant of the North Park Street Apartments after the renovation of the old Reedsburg Memorial Hospital was complete. She was a excellent baker and enjoyed outings to the Cal Center and Culver's. She loved camping and watching the Brewers, Packers and Badger football teams. She liked to crochet, embroider and read although these activities were curtailed after her macular degeneration worsened. Alice was deeply involved the Low Vision Support Group here in town. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 1:00 P.M., at St. John Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, WI. Relatives and friends may call on the family at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services. Pastor David Glesne and Pastor Dominic Guido will be officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery. |

Jerry was a longtime board member for AMPI and was also a 4-H beef leader for many years. He loved attending national livestock shows. Survivors include his wife, Connie; two sons: Mark (Lisa) Lehman, of Frisco, Texas and Kurt Lehman, of Cazenovia; four grandchildren: Chase, Jack, Ben and Finley; his sister: Marlene (Russ) Glover, of Cape Coral, Florida; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew: Todd Neises. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. John Ev. After marriage Eunice and Hank moved to New Jersey and later to Chicago where they lived for many years. They would return to Reedsburg for the summer months, weekends and holidays to visit their family and friends. Hank preceded Eunice in death on January 11, 2007. Eunice enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, listening to WGN Talk Radio and following the Cubs. Her favorite treat was ice cream. She had a fierce love of her family and cherished the time she spent with her four grandchildren, and her ‘grand dog’, Molly. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gertrude (Walter “Fritz’) Wilhelm; brother, Edward Schuette; and sister-in-law, Darlene Schuette. Eunice is survived by her sons, Tom (Robin) Brenner of Reedsburg, and Jim (Linda) Brenner of Chicago; grandchildren: Colton, Tommie, Olivia and Matthew; brothers and sisters: Henry Schuette, Verlyn (Karen) Schuette, Merry Ann (Leonard) Hanusa, John Schuette, Dorothy Mae (Ed) Zobel; sister-in-law, Mary Schuette; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation for Eunice Brenner will be on Saturday, August 24, 2019, starting at 10:30 AM at Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, with funeral services beginning at 12:00 noon. Florence was a lifelong member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Florence was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother and always enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed baking and enjoyed getting visitors while she was living at Our House during the last three years. Survivors include four sons; David (Nancy) Behn of Perkinsville, Vermont; Steve (Linda) Behn of Reedsburg; Warren (Kristi) Behn of Reedsburg and Doug (Helyn) Behn of Lyndon Station; 9 grandchildren; Andrew Behn, Hannah Behn (Bill), Kurt (Brea) Behn, Mark (Mary) Behn, Sue (Gordy) Banta, Sara (Troy) Breneman, Josh (Jodi) Behn, Rachel (Scott) Parrish and Becky (T.J.) Greenwood; 17 great grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter on September 27, 2007 and two sisters, Wilma Braun and Viola Schultz. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at St. John EV. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Beth Voigt. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the HOOF FUNERAL HOME in Reedsburg and also at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. |

Death | 7 January 2015 | Gordon Delbert Craker died on 7 January 2015 at age 78 Gordon Delbert Craker, age 78, went to meet his Maker on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center after a long battle with cancer. He was born on April 13, 1936, the oldest of six children to the late Arthur and Loretta (Ziech) Craker. Gordy was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and attended school there before graduating from Reedsburg High School. He worked as a leadman at Hankscraft Company in the Motor Division for 42 years before his retirement. He was married to Ruth Ann Morgan at St. Peter's Church on May 31, 1975. Together they were blessed with seven children and fifteen grandchildren. Gordy's passion was his farm, horses and beef cattle. He enjoyed playing cards, snowmobiling, driving his truck and trailer and camping with family and friends. Together they went on the Richland County Wagon Train for thirty years. They also spent two weeks each year at the Waverly Draft Horse Sale and Simmental Cattle Sales. He enjoyed helping all the young people train and show cattle at the fair. Gordy was a skilled carpenter. He and Ruth harvested all the lumber needed to build their sheds. Gordy and his brother, Don, could build anything. His sons have taken that over now. He will be greatly missed and loved forever by his wife, Ruth; children: Calvin (Sharon) Craker, Keith and Joe, of Reedsburg; Dennis (Ingrid) Craker, Sheldon and Emily, of Reedsburg; Carla (Hubert) Durst, Lindsey and Laura of New Glarus; Douglas (Carmen) Craker, Bridget and Patrick, of New Glarus; Craig (Kristin) Craker, of Iola, and Hailee, of Mosinee; David (Brenda) Craker, Drew, Olivia, Isaac and Luke, of Franklin, TN; Kimberly (Mike) Barreau, Katherine and Maxwell, of Lodi; one brother: Larry (Lila), of Reedsburg; three sisters: Janice (Larry) Horkan and Lois (John) Thompson, both of Reedsburg; Lenore Bauer, of Kenosha; sisters-in-law: Shirley Craker, of Reedsburg; Ramona Liegel, of Elcho; Barbara Morgan, of Johnson Creek and Nancy Morgan, of Wisconsin Dells; special friends: Gary and Sherri Lemmer, of Mosinee; Wayne and Nancy Greenwood, and Carley, of Reedsburg and John Greenwood, of Mission Viego, CA; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Don; brothers-in-law: Bernard Bauer, Everett Morgan, Dale Morgan and Reinald Liegel and his sister-in-law: Janice Gullickson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at ST. PETER'S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH in Reedsburg with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday at the HOOF FUNERAL HOME in Reedsburg. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family. |
