He came to Anderson Laws on Satyday last somewhat unwell and concluded that he would take some physic and done so but did not think that he was able to travel and he continued so till thirsday morning he thin sint for doctor but didnot get one till in the evening the doctor done all he could but to no effect he died about nine oclock on the 12th and they sint for me on friday and he was buried decently at Wm Garretts on the river his clothes is at Laws which will be sint down the first opertunity being in haste I cannot rite much Our own family is sick you had better send up for his clothes or wait till we can send them down his shrowd cost 75 cts his coffin and doctors bill will be to pay for you had better send twelve or fifteen dollars if you can which will pay all charges oh sister do not grieve but prepare to meet us all in heavn fairwell at present

    first after all my just debts are paid I give to my son Charles Bain one dollar and no more I having made ample provision for him heretofore. Item 2nd I give to my daughter Susan Law one dollar and no more as I have made ample provision for her previously Item 3rd I give to my daughter Betsy Tanner one dollar and no more having made ample provisions for her previously.
    Item 4th I give to my grand son James Law six hundred dollars and no more. Item 5th I give to my daughter Polly Ann Giddens one Negro girl by the name
    of Sarry Ann which she now has in possession and all her increase to her use and the use of her heirs forever. I also give to my said daughter Polly Ann Giddens the farm and appurtenances on which she and her husband Abner Giddens now lives containing about two hundred and thirty or forty acres for her only use and benefit during her natural life and then to the heirs of her body for their only proper use and benefit, said land is of the value of $1000 which with the Negro Women amounts to the sum of $1400. Item 6 I give t my son Thomas J. Bain in addition to what I have already given him as much of my estate as will make him equal with my daughter Polly Ann Giddeons but to have no part of the land whereon I now live. Item 7t I give to my son William Bain as much of my estate as will make him equal with my daughter Polly Ann Giddeons but to have no part of the land whereon I now live. Item 8th I give to my son John Bain all the tract of land whereon I now live containing about two hundred and fifty acres for his only property use after the portions as aforementioned it is my desire that the said remainder should be equally divided between my four last mentioned children Viz Polly Ann Giddions Thomas J. Bain William Bain and John Bain, and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my faithful friend Moses Tandy my executor to this my last will and testament and do hereby revoke all other former wills heretofore made by me and declare this to be my last and only will and testament.
