Kenneth was born on April 25, 1924 in Harrison Township, Grant County son of William and Alice (Carl) Hottenstein. He graduated from Rewey High School, Rewey Wisconsin. After high school he went to work at Farley & Loetscher Manufacturing, Dubuque. On August 25, 1955 he went to work at John Deere Dubuque Works where he worked until his retirement on November 1, 1983. “Bud” was a member of the Rewey United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, especially when he took his nephews with him. As a young man he enjoyed pheasant hunting. “Bud” always enjoyed tending to his garden, raising grapes and reading.

Ken is survived by his two sisters, Gail (John) Lupe of Mokena, IL; Sharon (Gary) Withrow of Platteville; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Clinton, and sisters, AnnaBelle Schaaf and Alice Pawlak, brothers-in-law, Francis Schaaf and Joe Pawlak.
