Florence lived her life enjoying being a dedicated mother and homemaker in addition to managing the bookkeeping for Bill’s construction company. She looked forward to vacationing with her immediate and extended family in northern Wisconsin. People who knew her know that her family and strong faith were the center of her life. Survivors include, 6 children, Jim (Linda) of Madison, Jack (Mary) of Plain, Jan (Bob) Sloan of Fall Creek, WI, Jeff (Cindy), Jay (Deb) and Jerry (Peg) all of Plain, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 7 siblings, Norm (Louise), Marie Zajicek, Helen Taylor, Bob (Betty), Betty Scallon, Ann (Tom) Gerothanas, Karol (Charlie) Wichmann, a sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Donna Schluter, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including her longtime friend Marie Liegel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphons and Mary Kraemer, her husband, Bill Schluter, a daughter, Joni, 2 brothers, Alfred and Linie, 2 sisters, Irene Esch and Lorraine Haas and 3 infant sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain. Fr. Mike Resop and Msgr. Charles Schluter will concelebrate with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. and again on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation. Online condolences available at www.staffordfuneralhomes.com. The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green is assisting the family with the arrangements. Florence was fortunate enough to be able to stay in her home until the day she passed. This blessing was due to her loving caregiver and friend, Tammy Alt.

Marvin was born Sept. 30, 1919, in Madison, WI, the son of Herman W. and Agnes (Baumgarten) Licht. Marvin was confirmed April 9, 1933, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Freedom. He was a graduate of North Freedom High School. He was united in marriage to Ruth Shimniok on Nov. 8, 1947, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Freedom. Marvin farmed all his life in the North Freedom area. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Marvin is survived by his wife, Ruth of North Freedom; two daughters, Shirley (James) Roecker of Reedsburg, and Linda (Ron) Green of Menasha; two sons, Marvin D. Light, and Daniel (Judy) Licht, all of North Freedom; six grandchildren, Michael (Vicky) Steinmetz, Kari and Andrew Licht, and Sarah, David and Daniel Roecker; and two greatgrandchildren, Brendan and Cameron Steinmetz. He is further survived by three sisters, Arloween Dyan of Waunakee, Althea (Burdell) Trow of Brooklyn, and Sylvia King of Poynette; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Gertrude Pieper; a brother, Norman Licht; and two brothers-in-law, Leonard King and Merlyne Pieper. Funeral services for Marvin will be held Monday, April 1, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 524 East St., Baraboo, with Pastor Thomas Fricke officiating. Friends may call Sunday, March 31 from 4-8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave., Baraboo, and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at the church. Interment will be at the Kingston Cemetery in the Township of Merrimac.

  • She died on 21 December 2001 at age 18 Paulina M. McGinnis, age 18, of Reedsburg, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 21, 2001 in her home from an apparent epileptic seizure. She was born on April 19, 1983 in Kaukauna, the daughter of Theodore Sr. and Janice (Lohr) McGinnis. She graduated from the Reedsburg Area High School in May, 2001. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church where she had been active in the Junior Choir, Sunday School and the Youth Group; a ten year member of the Mirror Lake 4-H where she enjoyed learning about animals and showing dairy cattle. She represented Sauk County at the State Fair with her sewing in the Fashion Preview in 1999. She also attended the National 4-H Congress at Atlanta, Georgia in 2000. She had also been a Girl Scout member. Paulina enjoyed life and especially loved to travel which began with her 4-H exchange trips. She went to North Dakota with a group of Girl Scouts. She participated in several church youth trips, from the Boundary Waters to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and she went on the Mexican Mission Trip to help build houses for the poor. As a sophomore, Paulina was a member of the RAHS music department concert and sightseeing tour to New York City. Upon graduation she spent a week in Orlando, Florida visiting many sights including one of her dreams, Disney Land. Paulina worked at Black Bart's, Lands End and McDonalds and she was also currently enrolled in the accounting program at MATC in Reedsburg. Survivors include her parents: Ted and Jan McGinnis, of Reedsburg; two brothers: Ted Jr. (T.J.) and Philip; her maternal grandmother: Neah Lohr, of Reedsburg; her paternal grandparents: Tom and Mary McGinnis, of Kaukauna; a very special uncle: James Lohr, of Reedsburg; her other aunts and uncles: Dr. Joann Lohr, and her husband, Michael Reardon, of Cincinnati, OH; Joseph (Michele) Lohr, of Reedsburg; Victoria (Scott) Roberts, of Crystal Lake, IL; Louis (Richard) Boyd, of Reedsburg; Michael (Kelly) McGinnis, of Neenah; Bridget (Kenneth) Wirtz, of Neenah and Peggy (Mark) Fisherkeller, of Indianapolis, IN; many cousins; great aunts; great uncles and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Lohr, on September 18, 1999. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday at ST. JOHN EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH in Reedsburg. Burial will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the HOOF FUNERAL HOME in Reedsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John Youth Group, St. John Lutheran Church of the Epilepsy Foundation of Wisconsin would be appreciated.

She was born May 30, 1908, in Ironton township, Sauk County, Wis., to Louis C. and Louise (Harms) Lehman. On Sept. 19, 1928, she was united in marriage to Carl Moldenhauer in Rockford, Ill. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1979. Anna worked at Badger Ordnance in the 1940s and also worked at Hankscraft for eight years, starting in 1947. Anna and Carl farmed for many years. She was a Country School board member in the early 1960s. Anna was a member of the Church of God in Reedsburg and was head of the kitchen for a couple of years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and tatting. She also loved to play cards, especially sheepshead and skippo. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her sons, Richard and Carl; a great -grandson in infancy; sisters, Olga Hinrichs and LeonaMoldenhauer; and brothers, William, Harry, Alvin and Ervin Lehman. She is survived by her son, Donald (Crystal Vivian) Moldenhauer of Reedsburg; daughter -in -law, Ardith Moldenhauer; 14 grandchildren, Cindy, John, Carol, Steve, Candy, Crystal Ann, Barbara, Donald Jr., Debra, Mark, Jeanne, Carl Jr., Michael and David; 15 great -grandchildren; three great -great -grandchildren; sister -in -law, Bertha Lehman of Reedsburg; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Anna Moldenhauer will be conducted at noon Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at FARBER FUNERAL HOME, 2000 Viking Drive, Reedsburg, with the Rev. Paul Lund officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Reedsburg. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to Allograft Resources - organ/ tissue donation.
