Mr. Freeland was born in Vancouver, Wash., and had been a resident of Santa Maria for the past four years. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1954 as a master sergeant, after more than 20 years service. While in the Air Force, he worked as an electronics technician, and after his retirement, he worked for Vandenberg AFB civil service in the same capacity for 17 years. He was a member of St. Louis de Montfort Church. Survivors include his widow, Isabelle E. Freeland, Santa Maria; daughters, Diane S. Wright, Las Almanac Vegas, Nev., Darlene I. Faulk, Huntington, Texas, Angela N. Free-land, Santa Maria, and Priscilla J. Freeland, Santa Barbara; five grandchildren. Friends may visit from 1 p.m. to rosary time Thursday at Magner-Maloney Funeral Home.

She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Caulfield, Parkville, MO; eight grandchildren, Cherie Lowe, Memphis, TN, Dana Dufty, Gladstone, MO, Steve Caulfield, Nixa, MO, Catherine Brogotio and John Frey, both of Kansas City, MO, Sharon Walcott, Buckner, MO, Todd Miller, Pittsburgh, KS, and Troy Miller, Osawatomie, KS; three nieces; and 16 great-grandchildren.
