MarriageLorriane L. Blakeslee married (?) Grover.
Birth18 January 1927Lorriane L. Blakeslee was born on 18 January 1927.
She was the daughter of George E. Blakesley and Lydia Atkinson.
Death6 April 2021Lorriane L. Blakeslee died on 6 April 2021 at age 94 Lorriane L. Grover, age 94, formerly of Ironton, died peacefully in her sleep the morning of April 6, 2021. While many have recently described Lorraine Grover as a “Good Woman”, it might be a little more accurate to say that she was a woman who represented a lot of good. Lorraine was a memorable figure of the town she lived for most of her life, Ironton. She partnered with her mother to operate the Ironton Store, was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, cultivated a wide circle of friends, and supported her extended family through joys and challenges alike. She experienced great satisfaction in her career as a cook at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center from 1971-1998 and she apparently baby-sat for half of Sauk County. She had a wicked sweet tooth, an unexpected love of brightly colored clothes and interiors, and an almost entirely purple garden. She loved long road trips filled with flowers, local diners, bird songs, and her family. Lorraine knew how to love - with an easy smile, a comfortable chair, a big hug, and fried pork chops and gravy.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents: George and Lydia (Atkinson) Blakeslee as well as her brothers: Donald, Bliss, Floyd, and Robert. She is survived by her son: Dennis Grover (Pamela Grover); grandchildren: Ryan Grover (William Donnelly), Liza Grover, and Christa Burns; great-grandchildren: Christian Beatty (Amanda Anderson), Kayla Burns, and Brooklyn Burns; great-great grandchild: Gabriella Beatty and her sister-in-law: Muriel Blakeslee..

Lorraine will be buried in a simple graveside service at Resting Green Cemetery, east of Ironton on Cemetery Road at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Meals on Wheels program at the Cornerstone Church on Ableman Road in Reedsburg.

The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

F, b. 28 September 1963, d. 28 March 2021
Father*Marlyn Joseph Heiser b. 18 Apr 1937, d. 10 Jul 2003
Mother*Mary Ann Alt
Name TypeDateDescription
Married Name9 April 1988As of 9 April 1988,her married name was Hemmersbach.
Life EventDateDescription
Birth28 September 1963Dianne Rachelle Heiser was born on 28 September 1963.
She was the daughter of Marlyn Joseph Heiser and Mary Ann Alt.
Death28 March 2021Dianne Rachelle Heiser died on 28 March 2021 at age 57 Dianne Rachelle (Heiser) Hemmersbach, age 57, of Plain, suddenly and unbelievably was called to eternal peace on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI, due to a massive aortic tear that doctors valiantly tried to repair.

Dianne was born on September 28, 1963 the fifth child of Marlyn and Mary Ann (Alt) Heiser. Truly the mold was broken and a recent comment from her was that she was the product of years of experimenting and they finally had the perfect product. She married her true love and soul mate, Bruce Hemmersbach on April 9, 1988. They were meant for each other and spent almost all their free time together, laughing, loving, and sharing the joy of bringing four children and ten grandchildren (with one more due any day) into this world. They were a tight knit clan vacationing, camping, watching Nascar, enjoying each day together. The years will hold many memories for them to cherish and nothing will ever be the same.

Her love of family was always first, love of animals was a close second. She had a passion for life and everyone around her was welcome. If you happened to stop by at a mealtime, she would invite you to pull up a chair, anyone, anytime. Her hobby farm was a playground for all to enjoy. Any animal that was even a little bit exotic or unique was “needed” and usually obtained. She worked as hard as a man (and proud of it) and could be as gentle as a woman at the same time. She was always willing to help at a moment’s notice and loved to party. So much so that she organized a huge “Christmas in July” party for years. Family, friends, neighbors, employees…all were welcome. She loved that day!

Dianne is survived by her husband, Bruce; four children, Kyle (Elizabeth Barr), April (Joe) Alt, Aimee (Paul) Wittmann, Kristen (Ryan) Ederer; ten grandchildren, Matthew and Anntonia Hemmersbach, Kashtyn, Liam, Warren and Owen Alt, Bennett, Sawyer, AnnaMae and Evelyn Wittmann; her mother, Mary Ann Heiser; siblings, Nick (Sue) Heiser, Deb (Marlon) Tafs, Kevin (Kathy) Heiser, Dale (Becky) Heiser; mother-in-law, Anna Mae Hemmersbach; her dogs, Hunter, Hankie, Huck, granddoggie, Annie Ederer, many brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marlyn; father-in-law Leo Hemmersbach; a special brother-in-law, Tony, brother-in-law Tim; niece, Jessica Kaczmarski, aunts, uncles, cousins; two angel babies; her dogs Samantha, Reni; granddoggies, Gracie Wittmann and Ranger Hemmersbach.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain with Fr. John Silva as the officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. and again on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of mass.
