  • Stuart News Jan. 12, 1956 --- MEMORY LANE MUSEUM OPENED BY LEO GIESEN --- Leo “Pop” Giesen today announced the opening of “Memory Lane” Museum on U. S. 1 near the Drive-In Theater turn-off. The museum will feature old-time musical instruments in working condition. Later Giesen intends to add a collection of old autos, of which he owns 26, including some of the classic of early transportation. A resident of West Palm beach for the past 30 years, where he operated Giesen’s florist shop, he recently leased the Dewey Caroty property on the west side of the highway about 2 ½ miles north of Stuart and installed his unique hobby collection.
