Deceased leaves besides his wife and two children, his aged parents, Mr. And Mrs. Henry Grages, four brothers, Henry of Chicago, Herman of Beecher, Fred of Washington township, and Ed of Will township/ two sisters, Mrs. Oscar (Sophia) Conrad of Chicago, and Mrs. William (Lena) Matthias of Will township, besides a large following of other relatives. The funeral was held Tuesday, June 15, at 1 o'clock, at the house and 1:30 at the Ev. St. Lucas church, Rev. G. Horst officiating, and was one of the largest held for some time. The pall bearers, all former and present mail carriers, were Louis Heldt, Fred Heldt, Robert Heldt, Carl Meyer, Amos Monk and Elmer Pease. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery.
