Mrs. Fickbohm suffered the stroke last Friday and was taken to the hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon (Thursday) at Peace Lutheran church at Alcester. Matilda Lewison, a life long resident of Union county, was born May 14, 1876, in Spink township. After her marriage to E. L. Fickbohm she lived on one farm 55 years. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Peace Lutheran church near Alcester. Survivors are the widow(er); ten children, Lester Fickbohm of Hawarden, Leonard and Elmer of Akron, Elwood of Alcester, Vernon of Beresford and Sylvester of San Rafael, Calif. Mrs. A. J. Wevik of Chicago, Mrs. Arthur Ludwig of Hawarden and Mrs. Lloyd Heldt and Mrs. Paul Ericson of Alcester; two brothers, E. A. Lewison and Arthur Lewison and Alcester and two sisters, Emma Lewison of Alcester and Mrs. Elizabeth Peterson of Beresford.

    The visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens in West Dundee.

D., Mrs. William (Iva) Siemers of Hartington, Nebraska, Mrs. Victor (Violet) Siemers of Hawarden, Mrs. Wilma Siemers of Sioux Falls, and Mrs. Ray (Opal) Keiser of Hawarden, four sisters, Mrs. Ella Lewison, Mrs. Lillie Sommervold, Alcester, Mrs. Minnie Peterson of Bismark, N. D., and Mrs. Sophie Groon of Fairview, S. D., 31 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one son, Ralph in 1951. Casket bearers included Daryl, Duane, James and Delmer Fickbohm, Ronald and Richard Siemers. Miss Sydelle Numsen was the organist.
