Sylvia was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and was active with the church ladies and the quilting group and was active in homemakers for many years. Sylvia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sewing as well as feeding and watching the birds. Survivors include three sons: Carl Stolte, of Middleton; Daniel (Shari) Stolte, of Loganville and Steven Stolte, of Reedsburg; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her brother: Fred Brunkow, of Pepin; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin, on November 16, 2006; an infant son and a great grandson: Dylan Stolte. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Christopher Miller officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

He was preceded in death by six brothers: Herbert, Martin, Otto, Erwin, Arthur and Paul. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hillpoint with Rev. Richard Agenten officiating. Interment was in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Loganville. The family received friends from 4 until 8 p.m. on Monday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund or the Sauk County Health Care Center would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

Viola was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown and a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hillpoint. She enjoyed doing crafts especially crocheting and quilting. Survivors include three sons, Reuben (Annette) Baumgarten of Mauston, Phillip (Dottie) Baumgarten of Glenside, Pa., and Wilbert (Rhonda) Baumgarten of Watertown; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Norma Montgomery of Anchorage, Alaska; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, on May 11, 2002; one sister, Lorraine Meyer; and one brother, Phillip Krueger. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hillpoint with the Rev. Richard Agenten officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Loganville. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. There will also be a visitation today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund or to R.O.C. in Watertown would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg is serving the family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin, on August 15, 1988; two daughters: Carol Ann Baumgarten in 1957 and Kathy Gengelbach in 2018; two brothers: Bob and Loran Gardner; and one sister: Evelyn Mikelson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Kenneth Schaub officiating. Interment will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Loganville. There will be a visitation from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.   • JOSEPH BANDEL, M. D., Sec. 27; P. O. Plain; born in Wurtemberg, Germany, Sept. 21, 1830. In early life, he received an academic education, and afterward entered a medical college at Heidelberg, where he graduated at the end of five years; then was appointed a surgeon in the military service of his native country, a position he filled for nearly three years. In 1852, he came to Wisconsin, Sauk Co., which has been his home since. During the war of the rebellion, he was a soldier in Co. H, 37th W. V. I; was honorably discharged at the close of the war as Second Lieutenant. He has been Chairman of the Franklin Town Board of Supervisors four years. He is President of the Franklin Mutual Farmers’ Fire Insurance Co., a position he has filled since its organization in 1877. He was also Town Assessor of Franklin three terms.
