This union was blessed with six children, four of whom died in infancy. On the 4th of Oct 1878, they came to the town of Franklin, settling on a farm about one mile north east of Plain, Wis. ...she died after an illness of 3 days on Feb 14, 1908 surrounded by all her surviving children and brothers and sisters, passing away on the 44th anniversary of her second marriage. She leaves her aged husband, one son Joseph Thering of Plain, five daughters, Mrs. J.B. Liegel of Plain, Mrs. F. Scholl of Spring Green, Mrs. John Hutter, Mrs. John Beck and Mrs. C Ederer of Plain, one brother Sebastian Reuschlein of Plain, and one sister Mrs. Mary Emser of Spring Green, 34 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild.

Spring Green; was born in Baden, Germany, in 1837; in 1848, he came to this country with his father and step-mother, his mother having died in Germany; they settled in Burlington, Racine Co., Wis., where he remained until 1851, in which year he came to Sauk co. and located in the town of Franklin, where he resided until 1873, when he moved to his present home. He married in Franklin, Sarah J. Faust, a native of Indiana, of which State her parents, James and Mary Faust, were early settlers; they now live in Crawford Co., Wis. Mr. Reischlein owns a fine improved farm of about 240 acres. He has been a continual resident of Wisconsin since 1848, hence witnessing its growth from a population of little more than 300,391 until the present time when it embraces a population of over 1,300,729.
