She enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers. Survivors include five children: Edward (Dorothy) Zobel of Reedsburg; Judy Williams of Baraboo; Carole Neumann of Reedsburg; Gary (Ann) Zobel of Reedsburg and David Zobel of Reedsburg; nine grandchildren: Mark (Lori) Zobel, Scott Zobel, Lori (Don) Lichte, Jennifer (Mark) Rabata, Jason (Heidi) Williams, Craig (Yvonne) Neumann, Corey Neumann, Curt Neumann and Chad Neumann; nine great grandchildren; six brothers and sisters: Muriel (Elmer) Schmidt of Reedsburg; George (LaVerne) Wagner of Reedsburg, Alfred Wagner of Wisconsin Dells, Berniece (LaVern) Herritz of Reedsburg; Ervin (Mercedes) Wagner of Reedsburg and Norma (Melvin) Richert of Reedsburg; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, on August 4, 2000; two brothers: Edward Wagner and Harold "Bud" Wagner; and one sister: Alice Schrank Westerman. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday at ST. JOHN EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH in Reedsburg with Dr. James Steinbrecher officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday at the HOOF FUNERAL HOME in Reedsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sauk County Association for Retarded Children or St. John Lutheran Church would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family. Mom, We watched as your life quickly faded away and hoped we would never have to see this dark day. We will remember the good times, embrace them with love, being certain you are with the Lord in Heaven above. We've lost a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. We pray that with God's grace we will be together again. We would also like to give special thanks to the staff of the Sauk County Health Care Center for the care and concern shown to Mom the past few weeks.

He was born on November 22, 1951 in Reedsburg the son of Ray and Carolyn (Wagner) Zobel. He attended and graduated from Reedsburg Webb High School, class of 1970. Gary attended Madison Business College, after which he joined the family business of Ray Zobel and Sons where he was known for being an excellent machine operator. Gary enjoyed going to the Castle Rock Lake house on the weekends and when friends would stop by he said, "it doesn’t get any better than this." He also enjoyed watching westerns and sports, he was a Badger tickets holder. The highlight of each year was the Deer Camp at the shed. Gary was a past member of the Reedsburg Fire Dept. and when he moved to LaValle he was on their department from 1990-2003 having served as Chief from 1992-1998. He will be dearly missed by all his family, his friends and his dog Sadie. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Zobel, Mother & Father-in-law; Rex and Bernice Woodruff and Brother-in-law, Delbert Woodruff.
He is survived by his wife, Ann

We honor Gary’s life with a funeral service on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Reedsburg with Pastor David Glesne officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Farber Funeral Home and again on Saturday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Reedsburg.

He was born Aug. 3, 1957, in Reedsburg, the son of Ray and Carolyn Wagner Zobel. David worked at VARC Inc. in Reedsburg and at Paragon Industries in Fort Atkinson for many years. He was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church. David enjoyed bowling and swimming. He was also an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan. Survivors include two sisters, Judy Williams of LaValle and Carole Neumann of Reedsburg; two brothers, Edward (Dorothy) Zobel of Reedsburg and Gary (Ann) Zobel of Reedsburg; nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor David Glesne officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer; three children, Karen (Tom) Hayes of Poynette, David (Marilyn) Schmidt of Stratford and Terry (Kay) Schmidt of St. Peters, Missouri; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice (LaVern) Herritz of Reedsburg, and Norma (Melvin) Richert of Reedsburg; two brothers, Ervin (Mercedes) Wagner of Reedsburg, and Alfred Wagner of Wisconsin Dells; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sons, Duane and Robert; a grandson, Curtis Schmidt; three brothers, Edward, Harold "Buddy" and George Wagner; and two sisters, Alice Schrank Westerman and Carolyn Zobel. Funeral Services will be conducted at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 29, 2006, at ST. PETER'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH in Reedsburg, with the Rev. Paul Crolius officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
