Sister Humbeline, 90, a Franciscan Sister of the Congregation of Our Lady of Lourdes, Rochester, who served in the nursing profession, died Thursday (Nov. 24, 2005) at Assisi Heights.
Lucille Martha Aulik was born Oct. 18, 1915, in Two Rivers, Wis. She entered the Franciscan Congregation from St. Luke Parish. She made profession of vows in 1946, and her career in nursing began at Mercy Hospital in Portsmouth, Ohio. For more than 29 years, she served in nursing supervision, teaching and administration at Mercy Hospital and at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester. Following the closing of the three-year nursing programs, she pursued a master's degree in librarianship and joined the library staff at the College of St. Teresa in Winona as an acquisitions/reference librarian. She enjoyed the field of information services and, for 15 years, she compiled a Graphic Summary of the College of St. Teresa holdings. She was also responsible for the national conversion of the entire college collection, which she accomplished over three years. After the college closed in 1989, she volunteered at the Rochester Public Library and as an Auxilian at Saint Marys Hospital. She celebrated her golden jubilee in 1996.
She is survived by her Franciscan community; and a sister, Beatrice Jacquart of Two Rivers.
Friends may call at Assisi Heights at the wake service at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, and also until the service Dec. 1.
Memorials are suggested to Sisters of St. Francis of Rochester, Office of Benefactor Relations, Assisi Heights, 1001 14th St. N.W. Rochester, MN 55901.

Death26 February 1979Walter S. Aron died on 26 February 1979 at age 81 Mr. Walter S. Aron age 81, or Prairie du Sac, died Monday, February 26, 1979, at a local hospital following a long illness. He was born January 26, 1898, at Spring Green, the son of John C. and Caroline Reuschlein Aron. Me moved to Plain and worked as a blacksmith and welder until moving to Sauk City, where he owned and operated his own welding shop.
On November 9, 1932, he was married to the former Agnes Halverson. They moved to West Allis, where Mr. Aron was employed by Gateway Transportation Company for 22 years, retiring in 1966 to the Sauk Prairie area.
Mr. Aron was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, and a member of the Holy Name Society and the Knight of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes of Prairie du Sac; a son and daughter in law, Ervin and Myrtle Halverson of Milwaukee; three grandchildren; a brother Henry Aron of Sauk County; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Liegel of Plain, Mrs. Alma Huggins of Sauk City, and Mrs. Emma Kowalke of Baraboo; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the Gnewikow-Schwoegler-Zimmermann Funeral Home, Sauk City, at 10:30 a.m. and at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, with Father Joseph Cox officiating.
Burial is in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, at the funeral home where a scripture service will be held at 7: 30 p.m.

She graduated from the Le Claire School of Cosmetology, Milwaukee, and was employed by Eberhardt's Cardinal Beauty Shop on State Street, Madison, until she retired. In 1972, she married Rod Huggins, who preceded her in death. Alma enjoyed a full life and lived independently until November 2004. Survivors include nieces; nephews; a step-daughter-in-law; step-grandchildren; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Caroline Aron; brothers, Walter (Agnes), Henry (Allie), Len (Loretta); and sisters, Anna (Albert) Schwartz, Mae (Walter)Liegel, Nell and Emma (Clarence) Bettinger. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2005, at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison. Private interment will be at Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum.
