He returned home highly decorated, continuing a career of military service by joining the United States Air Force. He retired in Colorado Springs in 1972. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Sue, his daughter Jane A. Williams of Colorado Springs, his granddaughter Carlyn Sue Williams of Boulder, CO, his brother John Jarman of Souix City, IA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at First United Methodist Church.
