Death12 March 2025Elden Eldor Buelow died on 12 March 2025 at age 70 Elden E. Buelow, age 70, of Hillpoint, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 29, 1954 in Reedsburg, the son of Eldor and Vera (Brewer) Buelow. Elden was a 1973 graduate of Weston High School. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Fort Carson, CO. It was here that he met his wife, Laura Roney. The two were married on June 21, 1974.

After returning to Wisconsin, Elden enlisted in the Army National Guard where he served for 22 years. He began working at NUK and became a master die and mold maker for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Elden was preceded in death by his parents, Eldor and Vera (Brewer) Buelow; father and mother-in-law, Loyd and Ann (Harmon) Roney; brothers, Loyd and Eldwin Buelow; brothers-in-law, Loyd Roney Jr. and Paul Cook Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Laura; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric (Lorinda) Buelow of Avoca, and Alan (Jolene) Buelow of Galesville; six grandchildren: Josie, Madison and Channing of Spring Green, Seanan of Beaver Dam, Cianan of Avoca, Payton and AJ of Galesville; one great-granddaughter, Freya of Spring Green; three sisters, Joyce and Kenny Lietz of Reedsburg, Kathy Leub of Sibago, Maine, Nancy Blackburn of Milwaukee; two sisters-in-law: Kay and Jerry Ellis of Perry, UT, Pat Cook of Arizona; brother-in-law, Mark Roney of Montello; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

A memorial service for Elden will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Chaplain Daniel Farber officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

June dedicated her life to raising her ten children and spending time with her many grandchildren. June’s hobbies included: reading, sewing, quilting, canning and gardening. She was known for her cooking, especially for her noodles, dumplings and pancakes. June enjoyed listening to George and Evelyn and her nieces and nephews as they played country music. She was a very caring person who always put everyone else’s needs before her own. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orrin; daughter, Judith Denman, and a grandson, Scotty. June is survived by her children, Karen Miller of Reedsburg, Barbara Bailey of Wisconsin Dells, Gary (Alice) Palmer of Lyndon Station, JoAnn Palmer (Dave) of Genoa, WI, Pamela Palmer (Dave) of Wisconsin Dells, Laurie Palmer of Lake Delton, Denny Palmer of Lake Delton, Tina Lopez of Houston, Texas, Kevin (Kim) Palmer of Wisconsin Dells; 21 Grandchildren; 23 Great-grandchildren; 4 great- great grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. Funeral services for June Palmer will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be conducted on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Farber Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. On September 23, 1967, Karen was united in marriage to Michael F. Miller Their marriage was blessed with two children. Karen was employed with Flambeau, Inc in Baraboo for over 20 years. She worked with her husband, Mike, as the secretary and bookkeeper in his construction company, Mike Miller Construction, until they retired the company in 2010. Following that she worked at Lorraine’s for a several years.

Karen was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lime Ridge and active in the Renew support group. She loved camping with her family, playing board games with her grandchildren, reading and listening to country music. She was especially fond of local talent, Maggie Mae. Karen enjoyed watching old westerns, following NASCAR the excitement of the Daytona 500.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; parents, Orrin and June Palmer; sisters, Judith Denman and Barbara Bailey; nephews, Jason Francois and Richard Denman.

Karen is survived by her sons, Michael A. (Dawn) Miller and Frank (Michelle) Miller; grandchildren: Michael James (Samantha) Miller, Michaela (Colton) Peper, Marissa Miller (Jose Duran), Walker Miller (Chasity Bartlett), Tayler Miller (Gage Hofmann); great grandchildren, Mia, Maddalynn, Mickinlee, Elaina; siblings, Gary (Alice) Palmer, JoAnn Palmer (Dave), Pamela Palmer, Laurie Palmer, Denny Palmer, Tina Palmer Lopez, Kevin Palmer; several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

The family extends a special thank you to Jayme Powell and the team of caregivers at Agrace Hospice.

Funeral services for Karen J. Miller will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, with Chaplain Daniel Farber officiating. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, Lime Ridge. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Farber Funeral Home, and on Friday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

She was born on September 17, 1921, in Bear Creek Township, Sauk County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Archie and Gladys (Stout) Prouty. On June 5, 1940, Florence was united in marriage to Keith L. Breneman. This marriage was blessed with eight children. Keith preceded her in death on October 28, 2002. Florence was employed at Hankscraft in Reedsburg for 21 years where she was their representative of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union. She served as Secretary and Steward in that organization. Florence was also a member of the Hillpoint Rod and Gun Club, serving as Secretary and Treasurer for over 30 years, and was the Treasurer of the Sauk County Sportsmans Alliance for over 20 years. Florence enjoyed crocheting afghans and loved flowers, especially African Violets. She was an active member of the Sandusky United Methodist Church for many years.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Virginia (Chester “Bud”) Powell, and Dorothy Prouty.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Dick of Hualapai, AZ,

Vera and Virgil Gehri of Wonewoc;

Sons, Bill and Sue Breneman of Gilman,

Bob and Barb Breneman of Hillpoint,

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, and again on Wednesday, at the church, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Memorials of remembrance may be made to the Sandusky United Methodist Church or the Sandusky Cemetery in lieu of flowers.
