Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Robert) Grueneberg of West Bend, WI and Nancy (Robert) Ernst of Necedah, WI; four grandchildren, Mary-Helen Grueneberg, Charles (Audra) Grueneberg, Timothy Ernst and Steven Ernst; three great-grandchildren, Emelia, Alaine and Madeline Grueneberg; a brother, F. Michael Coyne of Marco Island, FL; a sister, Alice (Rollie) Gundlach of Madison;, WI a sister-in-law, Alice Allen of West Bend, WI; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Anthony. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend, with burial following in Washington County Memorial Park.

Alice was born in Muscoda, Wisconsin on July 30, 1931, to Herbert and Clara (Bauer) Coyne. One of 5 children, Alice was the youngest and only daughter.

Alice's greatest joy was her family. She married Rolland (Rollie) Gundlach on August 19. 1950 and they were happily married for nearly 66 years at the time of Rollie's death in 2016. Together they raised seven children. Alice found great joy in her eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Alice was a dedicated and loving mother. She also cared for many other children in her lifetime as she provided in home day care for many families over the years. Everyone was welcome in her home and there was always room at the table. Alice was 'Mom' to all who came to her home.

Alice was a talented seamstress, making clothing for her children and grandchildren as well as for herself and other family members. Her accomplishments included band costumes, wedding gowns and Halloween costumes. Alice could sew virtually anything.

She was an incredible cook and baker, famous for her mashed potato donuts, cinnamon rolls and breads.

She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Jeff (Jane) Gundlach, Karen (Dennis) Sanner, Steve Gundlach (Rosemary Urbanick), Janet (Brion) Trahan, Terry (Randy) Wold, Dan Gundlach, Patty Gundlach; as well as eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her four brothers; her husband; as well as five sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law and two nephews.

As she was dedicated to her job at Woolworth she later became a hard-working and loving Mother/Wife for her family. While in the midst of running around to keep the family at peace she found time to carry out her hobbies. She enjoyed working on crafts, crosswords, cooking and baking.

Ivy survived by her children Linda, Randy (Sandra) Silvis, Curtis (Jacene) Silvis, and Debra (Greg) Hartman; grandchildren, Sasha Silvis, Randy Silvis Jr., Ryan Silvis, Anna Silvis, and Jessica Hartman; great-grandchildren, Ariella Milek and Aliana Milek and numerous nieces and nephews. Ivy is preceded in death by parents, Emil and Alma Larson; husband, Robert Silvis; brothers, Elmer and Alvin; sister, Christine McVay; an infant sister; granddaughter, Danielle Hartman and grandson, Evan Silvis.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Saturday, May 18, at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Ave.Sioux Falls, SD 57104 with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD.
