Harold, son of Val and Irene (Gruber) Mueller, was born May 15, 1941 in Ironton Township. He attended grade school at St. Joseph Catholic School and was a graduate of Portage High School. On November 14, 1959 he enlisted in the National Guard and was later activated during the 1961 Berlin Crisis. He proudly served until his honorable discharge on August 7, 1962. Harold was a long-time member of Walnut Hill Bible Church and was an avid member of their bible study groups. He treasured time with his family and his four grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy. Harold also took great pride in maintaining his farm. He was a member of the Antique Snowmobile Club of America for many years.

Survivors include his children, Scott (Angie), Michael (Shelly) and Patrick Mueller, all of Baraboo; four grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Lawler, Sara (Evan) McNaughton, Peter (Joslyn) Mueller, and Hannah Mueller; great grandson Reed McNaughton; as well as his former wife, Patricia Mueller; siblings, Grace Barden, Mary Jane Manthey, Joan Henke, Cathy Grinde, Marvin Mueller, Michael Mueller, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Helen Janzen, John Mueller, Paul Mueller, Eugene Mueller, Monica Krejchik and David Mueller.

A funeral service for Harold will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Walnut Hill Bible Church with Pastor Dan Gunderson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial with military honors will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his sisters, Crystal Peters, Tina Yerke, Vicky Yerke and Lisa Loeffelholz; a special stepson, Kethan Rood; two sons, Jason Leitzinger and Kaleb Leitzinger; and special friend, Bridgette Curran.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Yerke.

Lois was born on August 19, 1950, to Clarence and Florence Steinhorst. She spent much of her life in the Reedsburg area, where she worked for Eagle Signal, Hammond Power Solutions, Seats Incorporated and at O’Reilly Auto Parts.

Horses were a lifelong love for Lois. She owned horses for most of her life and, in her younger years, traveled with her father to compete in barrel racing. Her love of horses remained an important part of her life through the years, including her horse, Decker.

Lois was also an avid Wisconsin sports fan. She rarely missed a Green Bay Packers game and could often be found wearing Packers clothing. Her team pride even extended to her riding lawn mower, which she had painted in Packers colors. She also enjoyed cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers football team and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Those who knew Lois will remember her as spunky, outgoing, independent, generous, and never afraid to speak her mind. A proud redhead with a stubborn streak and a good sense of humor, Lois could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. She genuinely cared about others and was always interested in how everyone was doing.

Lois loved to socialize and enjoyed spending time and sharing laughs with her friends. Above all, she cared deeply for her family and held a special place in her heart for her nephews and niece.

Lois is survived by her brother, Richard Steinhorst; her nephews and niece, Shaun Steinhorst, Terri Steinhorst-Fuller, and Aaron Steinhorst and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Florence Steinhorst.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Rev. Michelle Elfers officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at Church.

In his home in town Herman, the well-known citizen of town Herman, Carl Lemke, died of a stroke Saturday at the advanced age of 88 years and a few months. The deceased was born in 1818 in Pomerania, Germany, emigrated to America in 1837, and settled in Watertown. He was married three times; the first time in 1840 to Wilhelmine Volkmann in Watertown, who preceded him in death in 1857; in 1870 he married the widow Wm. Lueck in Mayville, who died in 1893, and in 1899 he and his surviving wife entered into marriage. In addition to his wife, he leaves three sons: August Lemke of town Herman; Wm. H. Lemke of Osage, Mitchell county, Iowa; and Heinrich Lemke, residing in own Herman; and two daughters, Mrs. Wilhelm Degner of town Herman and Mrs. Hermann Schwantes of town Williamstown, who mourn the death of their husband and father. One son and one daughter preceded the father in death. The deceased lived in Watertown for three years after his arrival in America; he came to town Herman in 1840 and settled on the same farm, which he occupied until his death. The funeral takes place tomorrow, Wednesday afternoon, at 1 o'clock conducted by Pastor A. Toepel in the cemetery near "Zum Kripplein Christi" church in town Herman.
