Rosemary was born May 26, 1931, in Bow Valley, Neb., to Anton and Eleanor (Kathol) Noecker. She grew up in Hartington and graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1949.


She married John L. Feilmeier Jr. on Nov. 13, 1951, in Hartington. He died Feb. 23, 1997.

They lived in California from 1952 to 1954, then returned to Hartington, where she worked for Buchanan Drugstore for five years. They lived in Sioux City from 1962 to 1994, then returned to Hartington. After John's death, she lived in Sioux City for several years until returning to Hartington.

She loved to sew, travel, dance and enjoyed life. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She is survived by a son and his wife, Gary and Mary Feilmeier of Commerce, Ga; six daughters and their husbands, Cheryl and Steven Tongish of Dakota City, Audrey and Carl Martin of Hubbard, Neb., and Deanna and Dave Early, Jean and Shawn Knox, Lori and Steven Vondrak and Barb and Brian Nyreen, all of Sioux City; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three brothers and their wives, Marvin and Teresa Noecker of Hartington, Leon and Lorna Noecker of Garden Grove, Iowa, and Larry and Carol Noecker of Yankton, S.D; and three sisters, Leora Hedburg of Rockford, Ill., Doris Folkers of Hartington and Delores and Bob Lammers of Randolph, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Tongish.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Tongish, Kyle Feilmeier, Anthony Knox, Scott Harrison, Lee Vondrak, Joseph Martin and Brian Mogren.

Teresa Lucille McFadden was born on April 19, 1928 in Hartington, Nebraska to Charles M and Edna M (Arnett) McFadden. She grew up and attended school in Hartington graduating from Holy Trinity Grade School in 1942 and Holy Trinity High School in 1946. After graduation Teresa moved to Omaha and worked for Mutual of Omaha. Upon returning to Hartington she worked for Dr. Paul Lammers as a dental assistant.

On September 7, 1949 Teresa married Marvin George Noecker and they had seven children. Teresa’s family was her highest priority and as a mother she strived to be a good example to her children and always encouraged them to grow in their faith. She was a Mom who opened their home and yard to many neighborhood children and friends of her children. She always found time to prepare a meal or make homemade treats for them. Teresa spent many hours volunteering as Cub Scout, Brownie and Girl Scout Leader during this time.

In 1968 Teresa went to work as a secretary for Nebraska Public Power in Hartington, retiring from there in 1988. After retirement Teresa & Marvin enjoyed traveling the country with family and friends. They spent many winters in South Padre Island, TX with dear friends. They also enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren taking them on many trips to see interesting sites or camping with them. Teresa volunteered numerous hours helping Marvin install lifelines in many homes in the area. She was a member of Community Caretakers and Hospice and spent time volunteering at the senior center, the nursing home and assisted living centers until becoming a resident of Hartington Care and Rehab in 2014. In her four years as a resident there she grew to love the staff and residents dearly and considered many of them her second family.

Teresa was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. She and Marvin were original members of the Holy Trinity Perpetual Adoration holding an hour of adoration for over 50 years. After her children were grown Teresa taught CCD for many years. She was also involved in the Holy Trinity Guild, the Christian Mothers, Ministry of Praise and Prayer call line. She was also an active member of the North Central Deanery of Catholic Women holding various offices and serving on their board of directors.

Teresa is survived by children Karen (Don) Hoesing of Hartington, NE; Ken Noecker of Ann Arbor, MI; Don (Colleen) Noecker of Yankton, SD; Roger (Nancy) Noecker of Champlin, MN; Kathy (David) Marron of Grand Island, NE; Connie (Robert) Frohreich of Yankton, SD; and Jonny Bauer of Scottsbluff, NE; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren (number 12 due in February); sisters Irma O’Gara of Davenport, IA and Rita Lipinski, Shelton, WA; and brother-in-law Bernard Burbach, Norfolk, NE and sisters-in-law Doris Folkers of Hartington, Jan Noecker of Lincoln, NE and Lorna Noecker of Leon, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin in 2013, son Robert 2017 and grandson Kurt Hoesing 1997; brothers George, Eugene, Phillip, and Joseph, and sisters Dorothy, Mary and Helen, plus many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Korth, Mike Korth, Russ Gubbels, Ron Sudbeck, Darrell Lammers, Norman Lammers, Cyril Lammers and Don Goeden.

Bob was born on January 15, 1931, at Hartington to Nicholas J. and Anna (Ueding) Lammers. He grew up in the Pleasant Valley area and graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1948. He served in the United States Air Force from April 1, 1951, to Dec. 23, 1952. He married Delores Noecker June 10, 1957, at Hartington. They farmed in the Pleasant Valley area until 1984 when he moved to Wisner and managed a feedlot for the Dinklage Cattle Company until 1988. They moved to Randolph in 1988 where he worked for the Korth Feed Lot until he retired in 1996. Bob continued to share his love of outdoors by working for the Randolph Community Golf Course. He will be remembered for his love of hunting, baseball, horses and his wonderful sense of humor.

He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife Delores of Randolph; two daughters: Michelle Flannery and her husband Kirt, Yankton; Deb Harm, Wayne; four grandchildren; two sisters: Patricia and Charles Keiter, California; Donna Lu Greisch, Casper, Wyoming; a brother, Jerry and Mary Lammers, Casper.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Norman Lammers.

Bridget Rupiper was born September 25, 1924, to Alphonse and Lena (Koch) Kathol in Hartington, Nebraska and lived near Bow Valley, Nebraska. She married Jerry J. Rupiper after he returned from the Army after World War II. Bridget worked with Jerry as part of Jerry's Color Center for many years and started her own drapery business in Yankton. She was a member of Questers' and she loved a good auction sale, playing sheep head, gardening, and flowers. She was a full-time housewife and mother and is best remembered for excelling at canning, cooking great meals, and always welcoming friends and family at any time into their home. She had a great fondness for many very close friends and neighbors who shared her joy of living.

Survivors include her three children, Daniel (Sandy) Rupiper of Yankton, Jan (Mark) Spielman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Tom (Ann) Rupiper of Hamilton, Montana; six grandchildren, Leslie (Christian) Schutz, Lindsay (Scott) Jordan, Dana (Andrew) Ruginis, Sarah (Randy) Thomas, Jean Rupiper, and Lance Rupiper; five great grandchildren, Hailey Bridget, Jacqueline, Henry, Elizabeth, and Theron; sister-in-law, Genevieve Kathol; special niece, Sandra (Vern) Schroeder; other wonderful nieces and nephews; and very good friends, Butch and Gloria Becker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome J. "Jerry" Rupiper on May 31, 2008; two sisters, Irene Norris and Zita Hochstein; and two brothers, Gilbert and Leonard Kathol.

Elmer was born Jan. 2, 1924, in Bow Valley, Neb., to Peter and Ida (Kathol) Hochstein. He was born on the homestead of his grandparents and was the 13th of 14 children. He attended District 13 School and worked on his father's farm until entering the U.S. Army in 1944. He served in Company F of the 346th Regiment of the 87th Infantry Division, 3rd Army. He was awarded the bronze star and held three European battle stars. He married Wilma Kaiser May 6, 1947, in St. Helena, Neb. The couple farmed north of Bow Valley until 1960 when they purchased a farm near Coleridge. He farmed for several years, then they moved into Coleridge and started Hochstein Construction in 1965. He was a general contractor for more than 20 years. After he retired, the couple lived in Norfolk, Neb., from 1986-1997, where they managed a residential retirement facility. Since 1997, they have maintained residences in Norfolk and Coleridge. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Coleridge, and was a former council member. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, Hartington VFW Post 5283 and Coleridge American Legion Post 114. He was a former member of the Coleridge Fire Department. He served on the Coleridge Ridgeview Manor Board, St. Michael's Cemetery Association and the Cedar Catholic School Board. He maintained a Perpetual Hour of Adoration and was a member of the Legion of Mary Auxiliary. Survivors include his wife, Wilma, Coleridge; six children: Connie (Eric) Pettinger, Red Bluff, Calif; Tami (Jim) Koenig, Boise, Idaho; Sue (Bob) Kohles, Palmyra, Neb; Roy (Rhea) Hochstein, Bennet, Neb; Jay (Cindy) Hochstein, Bennet; and Lisa Hochstein, Colorado Springs, Colo; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers: Emery, Hartington; Adrian, Hartington; and Merlin, Wynot, Neb; and two sisters: Hulda Becker, Wynot, Neb., and Erna Promes, Hartington.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Coleridge with the Rev. David Liewer officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael’s cemetery in Coleridge. Visitation will be on Friday, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington, from 6-8:00 p.m. with a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church one hour prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Coleridge.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Hochstein, Tucker Hochstein, Roger Kaiser, Zak Kurtzhals, A.J. Koenig, and Micah Kohles. Honorary pallbearers will be Mick Hochstein, Gayle Hochstein, Ron Hochstein, Duane Arens, Sidney Hochstein, Ben Hochstein, and Tegan Kohles.

Wilma was born July 18, 1927, to Theresa (Schoof) and Jacob Kaiser in St. Helena, NE. She attended St. Mary’s School in St. Helena and Mount Marty High School in Yankton, SD. Following graduation, she worked as a dental assistant in Yankton. She married Elmer Hochstein on May 6, 1947, in St Helena.

After marriage, she and Elmer farmed north of Bow Valley until 1960 when they purchased a farm near Coleridge. They farmed for several years before they moved into Coleridge in 1965 and started Hochstein Construction. She and Elmer ran Hochstein Construction for over 20 years. Wilma managed the accounting, and the woodwork finishing for the houses Elmer built. She also worked as a CSM in the Park View Haven Nursing Home in Coleridge. After retirement in 1986 she and Elmer maintained homes in Coleridge and Norfolk where they managed two residential retirement facilities until 2003 when they officially retired in Coleridge. It was that year that Wilma lost her beloved partner Elmer. Most of her life was spent where she loved living most, in Cedar County. In 2011, Wilma relocated to Lincoln, then Syracuse to be closer to her children.

Wilma was a member of St. Paulinus Catholic Church and Altar Society in Syracuse, NE, and former longtime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and Altar Society in Coleridge. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Legion of Mary, Christian Mothers, Benedictine Oblates, Pink Sisters Auxiliary and was a former EMT with of the Coleridge Rescue Squad. She was an active community and church volunteer in Coleridge. Elmer and Wilma enjoyed playing cards, square dancing, and big band music with family and friends.

Survivors include six children and their spouses, Connie and Eric Pettinger, Gerber, CA; Tami and Jim Koenig, Boise, ID; Sue and Bob Kohles, Palmyra, NE; Roy and Rhea Hochstein, Bennet, NE; Jay and Cindy Hochstein, Lincoln, NE, and Lisa Clark, Bennet, NE; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 step great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Schneider’s, Randolph; sister-in-law, Dolores Kaiser, St James, sister and one brother and their spouses, Geraldine and Joe Schumacher, Crofton, Benny and Shirley Kaiser, St. Helena.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; daughter, Ann Hochstein; son, Keith Hochstein; grandson, Joshua Kohles, great-grandson Bennett Studebaker, four brothers and one sister.
