She was preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Miller.

Kate’s wish was to be cremated and buried with her sister, Loretta, at Glendale Cemetery. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5711 SW 9th Street, in Des Moines. Burial will occur at a later date.

Memorial contributions will be received by the family in loving memory of Kate.
