Interment was at Greenwood cemetery. Mr. MUCHOW was born Dec. 21, 1863, in Germany. He came to the United States at the age of nine, living in Wisconsin for a few years prior to coming to the Muscatine community. His marriage to Agnes COLBERG took place Dec. 18, 1889, in Mercer county. He was a member of Zion Lutheran church. Mr. MUCHOW retired 10 years ago as custodian at Week park, having been employed in that capacity 24 years. Survivors include the son, Edgar; three grandchildren, Eldon and Lucille WAGNER and Mrs. Marilyn LEWIS; and three great-grandchildren, Eugene and Arlene WAGNER and David Michael LEWIS. All reside in Eliza Township. Preceding him in death were his wife, one daughter, one sister and two brothers.

Eldon was born Sept. 17, 1921, in Eliza Township, Mercer County, to Albert F. and Gladys Irwin Wagner. He married Helen Taylor Feb. 22, 1941, in Muscatine, Iowa.

Eldon was a member of First Baptist Church of Muscatine and was a lifelong resident of the Eliza area.

Eldon retired in 1982 from HON Industries, Muscatine. He previously had worked for Eliza School as a bus driver, Kent Feeds in Muscatine, Deane Frye Construction Co., Aledo, and was a farm hand for several area farmers.

Eldon is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen; a grandson and his wife, Steven and Kristina Rossnagel, two great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Kristopher Rossnagel, all of Amarillo, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Lois McCormick, Aledo. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Eldon Eugene Wagner; daughter, Arlene Ann Rossnagel; two sisters, Anker Marilyn Doermann and Lucille Wagner; and stepfather, Edgar Muchow.

She is survived by a son: Bob (Sue) Luetkens, of Colorado Springs, CO and a daughter: Gloria Luetkens, of Fitchburg; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; an infant son: Ron and her sister: Ruth Beckwith. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Interment will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Loganville. There will be a visitation from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter's Radio Broadcast Fund, St. John's Cemetery Association in Loganville or the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center would be appreciated. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
