She was known for her cooking, especially for her noodles, dumplings and pancakes. June enjoyed listening to George and Evelyn and her nieces and nephews as they played country music. She was a very caring person who always put everyone else’s needs before her own. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orrin; daughter, Judith Denman, and a grandson, Scotty. June is survived by her children, Karen Miller of Reedsburg, Barbara Bailey of Wisconsin Dells, Gary (Alice) Palmer of Lyndon Station, JoAnn Palmer (Dave) of Genoa, WI, Pamela Palmer (Dave) of Wisconsin Dells, Laurie Palmer of Lake Delton, Denny Palmer of Lake Delton, Tina Lopez of Houston, Texas, Kevin (Kim) Palmer of Wisconsin Dells; 21 Grandchildren; 23 Great-grandchildren; 4 great- great grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. Funeral services for June Palmer will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be conducted on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Farber Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Breneman. This marriage was blessed with eight children. Keith preceded her in death on October 28, 2002. Florence was employed at Hankscraft in Reedsburg for 21 years where she was their representative of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union. She served as Secretary and Steward in that organization. Florence was also a member of the Hillpoint Rod and Gun Club, serving as Secretary and Treasurer for over 30 years, and was the Treasurer of the Sauk County Sportsmans Alliance for over 20 years. Florence enjoyed crocheting afghans and loved flowers, especially African Violets. She was an active member of the Sandusky United Methodist Church for many years.

    She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Virginia (Chester “Bud”) Powell, and Dorothy Prouty.

    She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Dick of Hualapai, AZ,

    Vera and Virgil Gehri of Wonewoc;

    Sons, Bill and Sue Breneman of Gilman,

    Bob and Barb Breneman of Hillpoint,

    John and Gwen Breneman of Reedsburg,

    Tom and Cindy Breneman of Hillpoint,

    20 Great grandchildren; and many step-grandchildren, step-great and step-great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

    Funeral services for Florence M. Breneman will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at the Sandusky United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Maeglin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, and again on Wednesday, at the church, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Memorials of remembrance may be made to the Sandusky United Methodist Church or the Sandusky Cemetery in lieu of flowers.

She was born on August 12, 1921 in Reedsburg, WI the daughter of Emil and Genevieve (Carney) Ziech. She was a 1939 graduate of Reedsburg High School after which she went to work at the Woolin Mill. From there she went to work as the office manager at a doctor’s clinic and then at a gas and electric company. In 1963 she joined the staff of Bethany Home in Waupaca and became the Business Manager of Berlin Memorial Hospital in 1967. In 1972, Helen passed her license exam and became the licensed Administrator of the Berlin Memorial Nursing Home, which had been part of the Berlin Memorial Hospital until its expansion. Helen retired on January 3, 1986 after 19 years of service, moving back to Reedsburg spending the remaining years of her life serving her church and community. Helen loved doing anything that involved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherwoman. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bud Ziech, dear friend, Pearl Neibuhr, Nieces and nephews, Nina (Melvin) Muchow, Dwight ‘Fritz’ (Judi) Cottington and a great nephew, Scott Muchow. Helen’s family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Reedsburg Senior Life Center for the excellent and loving care she received while a resident at both the assisted living and nursing home. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Cowan of Reedsburg Nephews, Gerald (Shirley) Cowan of Hayward Richard Cowan of Baraboo Great nieces and nephews: Stephen (Debbie) Muchow of Reedsburg Stanley (Kay) Muchow of Madison Patrick (Margareta) Cottington of New York Sue (Paul) Zingsheim of Reedsburg Sandy (Steve) Peterson of Reedsburg Many great great and great great great nieces and nephews. Joe Ann touched many lives through her work at the Sauk Co. Health Care Center. In her free time she loved busying her hands with needlework. It was a rare occasion to find her without a piece in her hands, her fingers crafting perfect stitches. Jerry enjoyed his work at HoChunk, speaking of it often. At home he loved connecting on-line with people across the globe, and often spoke of his conversations with folks from across the globe. They were both preceded in death by their parents.
