A WWI veteran, he was a member of the American Legion. He was the owner of Laridaen's liquor store in Mauston. Funeral services will be held today, Thurs, at 9 am in St Patrick's Catholic church in Mauston. Also surviving are his wife, Inez; a daughter, Mrs Charles Kellaher, Mauston; 2 other brothers, Peter, Lyndon Station and Louis, Mauston; a sister, Mrs Ida Jensen, Indianapolis, IN; and 2 grandchildren. Survivors include two children: Shirley Lange, of Reedsburg and Jerry (Patty) Laridaen, of Appleton; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters: Mabel Burgess, Alice Lombard, Geneva (Fred) Vogt, Jeanette (Fred) Werner, Robert (Dorothy) Decot, Ramona McHenry and Patricia (James) Murdock, all of Reedsburg; Lois (Austin) Luke, of Lake Delton and Elaine (Glen) Jensen, of Madison; one sister-in-law: Frances Decot, of Reedsburg; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, on September 10, 2000; one daughter: Yvonne Tucker; two sisters: Mary Frayer and Margie Decot, and one brother: Donald Decot. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH in Reedsburg with Father Thomas Monaghan officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the HOOF FUNERAL HOME in Reedsburg and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

Mabel was a devoted Hankscraft employee from Sept. 12, 1963, until her retirement on Dec. 15, 1981. She was a faithful member of the Advent Christian Church in LaValle. The couple lived in Milwaukee from 1953 to 1982 before moving to Reedsburg. Alice will be remembered as an immaculate house cleaner who loved to cook and bake. She also devoted a great deal of time to her grandchildren and her little dog, Mitzy. Survivors include her three children: Bill (Diane) Lombard, of Franklin; Betty Walsh, of Reedsburg and Jim (Karen) Lombard, of Milwaukee; three granddaughters: Kim Bergen, Dawn Grabowski and Jill Tobin; eleven great grandchildren; three sisters: Lois Luke, of Lake Delton; Patricia Murdock, of Reedsburg and Elaine Jensen, of Portage; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip, on March 8, 1985; her son-in-law: Gerald "Jed" Walsh; two brothers: Robert and Donald Decot, and seven sisters: Marjorie Decot, Mary Lorraine Frayer, Eleanore Laridaen, Geneva Vogt, Jeanette Werner, Mabel Burgess and Ramona McHenry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg with Father David Carrano officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 2 to 5 P.M. on Sunday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and after 10:30 A.M. on Monday at the church. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

Survivors include seven sisters, Mabel Burgess, Alice Lombard and Jeanette Werner, all of Reedsburg, Lois (Austin) Luke of Lake Delton, Ramona McHenry of Reedsburg, Elaine (Glen) Jensen of Madison and Patricia (Jim) Murdock of Reedsburg; a brother, Robert (Dorothy) Decot of Reedsburg; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Marjorie Decot, Lorraine Frayer and Eleanore Laridaen; and a brother, Donald Decot. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2006, at the HOOF FUNERAL HOME, Reedsburg. Interment will be at the Resting Green Cemetery, Ironton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred on Feb. 28, 2006; her sisters, Mabel Burgess, Eleanor Laridean, Mary Lorraine Frayer, Geneva Vogt, Ramona McHenry and Marjorie Decot; and her brothers, Donald and Robert Decot. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH in Reedsburg with Deacon Tom Hale officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
