Cyril Matthew Keltgen, the son of William and Rose (Uthe) Keltgen, was born September 7, 1924 on the Keltgen family homestead near Bird Island. In 1943, Cy graduated from high school in Olivia. He was inducted into the United States Army the same year and joined the Army Air Corp when he was 18 years old. Cy served in the European Theater as a ball turret gunner on a B17 Flying Fortress. He flew 38 missions over Germany between 1943 and 1946. He was proud of his military service and maintained memberships in the VFW and American Legion after his honorable discharge in 1946.

On October 20, 1951, Cy married Bernadine Kirsh in Milroy and the couple made their home in Redwood Falls. Cy worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 38 years, then started his own telephone service and installation company, Cy Keltgen Communications.

During his 58 years in Redwood Falls, Cy was elected Mayor of Redwood Falls; then served on the school board for almost 12 years. Most recently, he was a member of the airport commission. Since 1951, Cy has been a faithful member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, card player and Twins fan.

Cy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bernadine Keltgen of Redwood Falls; his cherished daughters Barbara Parliman (Tom) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Paula Bonine (Mark) of Maple Grove; his brother Glenn Keltgen (Griselda); and sisters Gloria Ahlstrand and Virginia Yasko (Harry). He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Roger.

George was born February 4, 1938 in St. Joseph to Peter and Catherine (Uthe) Bechtold. George graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School and Dunwoody Institute. He married Danna Mae Roeder on August 6, 1966. They raised three amazing children and he took pride in their accomplishments through out the years. He cherished the time he spent with his children and four grandsons. George was a Master Electrician and part owner of Granite City Electric. He took great pride in his work, a job he truly loved. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud, MN. A former member of the St. Cloud Lions, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #622, and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed elk hunting, fishing, golf and cutting wood. He was humorous, honest and trustworthy and always enjoyed a challenge.

George is survived by his wife, Danna of St. Cloud; son, Troy (Diane) Bechtold of Kimball, MN; daughters, Tracy (Jay Bretz) Bynres of Healdsburg, CA, Carrie (JA Schwartz) Vogel of Alexandria; grandchildren, Tanner (Sara) Bechtold, Taylor Bechtold, Spencer (Sarah) Vogel and Matt Vogel; brother, Delphin (Marilyn) Bechtold; sister-in-law, Lucy Bechtold; bonus grandchildren, Anthony, Melanie, Jennifer and Leander Marana.

She worked at Trinity Hospital, the Professional Building in Jamestown, the Central Dakota Nursing Home and at Jamestown Hospital. In 1974 they moved to Fargo, where Florence worked as a R.N. for the Fargo Nursing Home, now known as Rosewood on Broadway from 1975-1982 when she retired.

Florence was a member of St. James Basilica, Jamestown where she belonged to the Lady of Lourdes Circle for 25 years. She later became a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, Fargo.

Dorothy was born on July 22, 1928, to Peter & Catherine (Uthe) Bechtold, in St. Joseph, MN.

She graduated from Tech High School, St. Cloud, MN., in 1946, upon graduation, she was employed by Sears, in St. Cloud. She moved to Jamestown, ND., in 1948, where she was then employed by the S&L Store.

Dorothy met the love of her life, Arthur G. Wieland, in Jamestown, and they were married August 7, 1950. They had four sons and Dorothy chose to be a stay-at-home mother, until her boys left home. After Arthur's retirement, they moved to the Fargo/West Fargo area, to be closer to family.

Dorothy was always very active in her faith and church. She devoted much of her time, volunteering time to many church activities. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, crafts, the occasional game of golf, watching the Minnesota Twins, Bison football, as well as, playing cards with family and friends. She was a fantastic cook and baker, making many dishes from her German heritage and also passing those recipes down to her children. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were the light of her life.

She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving and caring mother and grandmother, a kind and thoughtful sister (in-law), and a loyal and dedicated friend to many. She was a mentor and care giver to many and we will all miss that big greeting hug she gave to us all throughout her life.

Dorothy is survived by her sons: Terry (Sharon), Horace, ND., Greg (Carilyn), Grand Rapids, MI., Jeff (Genny), Sioux Falls, SD., and Doug (Joyce), Woodinville, WA; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-children; her brothers: George (Danna) Bechtold, St. Cloud, MN., Del (Marilyn) Bechtold, Anaheim, CA., sister-in-law's: Lucy Bechtold, St. Cloud, MN., and Eileen Bechtold, St. Cloud, MN. Along with many nieces and nephews and their families.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Eventide Sheyenne Crossing, as well as, the staff of Hospice of the Red River Valley, for their wonderful and compassionate care.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her parents, Peter and Catherine; sister and brother-in-law, Florence (James) Johnson; and brothers: Louis Bechtold and Charles Bechtold.

Bechtold, 74, who died peacefully in his sleep at home on All Saints Day. Rev. Bernard Gruenes will officiate. Interment will be at the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Waite Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Williams Funeral Home, St. Cloud. St. Joseph's Parish Prayers will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Louis was born to the late Peter and Catherine (Uthe) Bechtold in St. Louis Park, MN. On August 27, 1959 he married Lucille Kampa at St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake, MN. He was employed by Veterans Affairs Medical Center in St. Cloud until retiring in 1994. Prior to that, he was employed for 12 years by Great Northern Railroad in St. Cloud. He was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park, member of Moose Lodge 1400 and Eagles.

Pauline Lucille (Uthe) Billigmeier was born in Bird Island on July 15, 1924 to Henry and Mary (Dummer) Uthe. She grew up in Bird Island and was baptized, received first communion, and was confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Pauline attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School and High School graduating in 1943. After graduating from high school, she attended Trinity Catholic School of Nursing in Jamestown, North Dakota graduating in 1947 as a registered nurse. Pauline worked at Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown, North Dakota and Renville County Hospital in Olivia. She truly loved the nursing profession.

On July 2, 1949, Pauline was united in marriage to Wilbert “Danny” Billigmeier at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. After their marriage, they lived in Jamestown, North Dakota and New Rockford, North Dakota and returning to Bird Island in 1951 when Wilbert “Danny” decided to go into business for himself. She worked with her husband in his accounting and tax service business and continued the business after her husband passed into the Lord’s care in 1979.

Pauline traveled the eastern part of the United States with her sister Edna Bunker and brother Kenneth Uthe and their spouses after her husband’s death. She spent her remaining years caring for family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic who prayed the rosary daily, attended Mass when possible, and if not able to attend, watched it on TV. No doubt, Pauline is reunited with her beloved husband Wilbert “Danny”, grandson Adam Danny Myers, and daughter Carol Billigmeier. Pauline was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Catholic Council of Women, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Pauline is survived by her son Daniel Billigmeier of Bird Island; and a daughter Kay Ann (Gary) Myers of Onida, South Dakota; grandson Eric (Courtney) Myers and great grandchildren Cale, Kiera, and Quinn of Plymouth; and granddaughter Rachel (Brent) Lorentz and great grandchildren Evie, Piper, and Myers of Shoreview. She is also survived by a brother, Kenneth Uthe, of Circle Pines, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Mary Uthe, husband Wilbert “Danny” Billigmeier, grandson Adam Danny Myers, sisters Katherine Uthe, Adeline Welsh, Doris van der Hagen, Edna Bunker, and daughter Carol Billigmeier.
