Among her cherished activities were dancing with her husband David, daily walks appreciating nature, collecting recipes and cookbooks, antiquing, exploring new restaurants, staying updated on fashion trends, and selecting the perfect gifts for herself and others. Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Patrick, and James Beggin. The in-person funeral mass will be privately held for family at St. Paul Catholic Church in Valparaiso, followed by burial at St. Paul's Cemetery. |

He was born April 30, 1931, the youngest son of Joseph and Rose Borkovec, in Lena, WI. He graduated from Lena High School and attended UW-Oshkosh. After graduation, he taught rural school at Underhill, WI before being drafted into the Army in 1952. He was in Korea with the 40th infantry division. While in the Army, he taught G.I.'s who couldn't read or write. At the close of the Korean Conflict, he was chosen to serve with the command in "Operation Big Switch" repatriating prisoners of war. He interviewed 1/3 of the American POW's who came back from North Korea. After returning home, attended UW-Platteville, where he met his wife, Joan Vosberg. Upon graduating in 1956, he taught high school in Brooklyn, WI. Later, he became a Farm Management Agent for Green and Racine Counties. While there, Romy attended UW-Madison getting his MS Degree. In 1963, started as a Farm Consultant at First Banking Center, Burlington, Wi. In 1974, he became President and CEO. Through the years, he was a member of several service organizations and on several committees…such as: Kiwanis, Rotary, American Legion, Wisconsin Bankers Association, on the boards of Xaverian Missionary Fathers, Redemptorist Seminary and UW-Platteville Foundation. Romy retired after 35 years and moved to Arizona. He and Joan lived in Sun Lakes and Payson, AZ. During retirement, he volunteered at the VA Hospital and Neighbors Who Care. Much time was spent golfing! Romy loved life and touched many people. He will be forever remembered and greatly missed by his loving family and many, many friends. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan; daughters, Sandra Boylan (Pat), Lisa Monson (Tom) and Rhonda Beere (Tom); son, Michael Borkovec (Laure); fourteen grandchildren, Amber Moser (Garret), Adam Boylan (Ashly), Austin Boylan (Miranda), Andrew Boylan, Kyle Monson (Kelsey), Megan Feuerhake (Travis), Madison and Mikayla Beere, Spann and Jett Beere, Jordan, Dylan, Hailey and Gabriella Borkovec; four great-grandchildren, Kolton, Kaydence, and Luci Moser and Trace Boylan. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Romy is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elhart, Clarence, Orville, Ervin and Norman; sisters, Gladys and Genivieve. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 12:00 noon in St. Mary Catholic Church (108 McHenry Street in Burlington) with Rev. James T. Volkert officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery – Union Grove. Visitation will be in Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home (625 Browns Lake Dr. in Burlington) on Friday, December 6th from 9:00 – 11:30 am (procession will leave for church at 11:45 am). A memorial mass and reception will be held at St. Stephen’s Church in Sun Lakes, AZ at a later date. |

Eugene worked for the Colfax Grange Supply for many years before going to work as a truck driver for Arrow Machinery in Colfax, from where he eventually retired. He also helped local farmers at harvest by driving truck. Eugene was an avid camper and enjoyed watching and supporting his grandkids play sports. He and his longtime companion Loretta Clark really enjoyed visiting casinos and were very fond of their puppy "Smoky." Mr. Osmun was a member of the local American Legion and the Colfax Eagles throughout his lifetime. He was survived by his long time companion, Loretta Clark; daughters, Linda (Dan) Gabbard and Deanna Vance; two stepsons, Don Shaw and Tim Shaw; six grandchildren, Heather, Daniel, Amber, Natalie, Kylie, and Emily; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and numerous friends, including best friends of over 66 years, Jerry Simmons and his wife Shirley. He was preceded in death by his parents; his former spouse, Mary Lou Vance; his stepson, Richard Shaw; his brother, Joe Osmun; and two sisters, Mary McPheeters and May Ensign. |

He loved camping, hunting and fishing with family and friends. Every summer he loved taking family and friends down the Big Hole River, where he spent many weekends. He had great sense of humor and always had a joke or funny story to share. He loved playing cards, especially cribbage. John also enjoyed football. Some of his favorite times were with his family and friends at the Washington Redskins games. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; daughters, Miranda and fiancé Brian Godman, Hannah and fiancé Steve Scott; brothers, Grant (Laura) Hackman and Jay (Michelle) Hackman; sister, Erin Hackman; aunt, Raelene Ogrin; uncle and aunt, Jim and Jane Grant; father-In-Law, Tom Davies; nieces, Amber Davies, Dawnann and Leighann Bracco, Heather LePier, Samantha Auther and Mattie Werder; nephews, Willie Hackman, Nate Werder and Kevin McGinley; in-laws, Joann and Gary Bracco and Diann and Andrew Brinig; many cousins, including the Ogrins, Pat, Kathy, Jerry, Lynn, Mike and Dawnann; and the Grants, Shelia, Julie, Marsha and Janie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Marie Hackman; grandparents, Tom and Helen Ryan; sister, Judy Hackman; uncle and aunt, John and Loretta Hackman; uncles, Don Ogrin and Jerry Grant; and mother-in-Law, Maridoe Davies. The family extends a big thank you to their family and friends for their overwhelming love and support. Friends are asked to join the family after 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Further celebration of John's life will be held at The Depot, 818 S. Arizona St., following Mass. |
