Birth8 October 1931Lois Frances Masterson was born on 8 October 1931 at Cleveland, Cass, Missouri, also reported as 08 Oct 1932.
She was the daughter of John Vernon Masterson and Nora Lee Green.
Marriage1 January 1950Lois Frances Masterson married James Leroy Allsup on 1 January 1950 at Paola, Kansas.
Death1 January 2017Lois Frances Masterson died on 1 January 2017 at Yuma, Arizona, at age 85 Lois F. Allsup age 85, of Lacey, Washington passed away January 1, 2017 at her winter home in Yuma, Arizona. Lois was surrounded by husband James L Allsup of 67 years and her siblings, sister Betty Franse of Anchorage, Alaska, brothers Glenn (Anna Mae) Masterson of Stillwell Kansas and Earl Milton (Ruth Ann) Masterson of Belton, Missouri. All were wintering in Yuma at the time of her passing. Her brother Vernon Leroy (Patricia) Masterson reside in Cleveland Missouri.

Lois was born to John and Nora Lee Masterson on October 8, 1931. She attended school in Cleveland, Missouri where she played high school basketball and met her high school sweetheart James L. Allsup. They were married on January 1, 1950. The newlywed couple settled in the Olympia area in early 1951. Beloved mother of four children, Gary (Judy) Allsup, Randy (Lori) Allsup, Sherri (David) Clarke and Shelly (Luke) Long, all reside in the greater Olympia area. Lois was the proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren.

Lois loved to travel. The mention of driving somewhere always captured her excitement. They were members of the Wandering Olympia Wagons, a local RV group that traveled the great northwest meeting monthly at various locations. They traveled in their Airstream exposing themselves to new adventures, sites and making travel friends. Upon retirement, that love of travel expanded to "snow birding" as they explored the country before settling into Yuma around 1989. In the fall of the year at their home in Lacey, when the forecast showed rain and cold weather, that signaled the time to head south to Yuma. Likewise in Yuma, when the spring temperature hit triple digits, it was time to head home to Olympia.

Lois also enjoyed spending time with her family, attending grandchildren's sports games and Mariner’s baseball. In recent years, attending the Parshall semi-annual extended family reunions was a highlight for her.

The love and enjoyment of country music was always in her heart.
