Phil was united in marriage to Verna King on June 4, 1966. He farmed, and later bartended, and worked at Gerber until his retirement. Phil enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Verna; his step-son, Kevin King; two brothers, William and Donald; a sister, Helen Gade; brothers-in-law, Arnold Gade, Ben, Art, and Walter Hess, Harry Daugs, Riley Robinson, and John McDonough; sisters-in-law, Lila Krey, Ella McDonough, Isabelle La Budda, Ardis Robinson, and Norma Daugs; niece, Susan Gade; nephew, Earl Krey; and special friend, Lucille Pfaff.

He is survived by his stepsons, Robin Terry King of San Antonio, Texas, and Roger (Barbara) King of Shawano; his stepdaughters, Kelli (Pat) Watson of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Kami (Bryan) Hansen of Fort Lewis, Wash; his step-great-grandchildren, Hannah and Corrine Watson; his brother, Robert (DeAn) Krey of River Falls; brothers-in-law, Ernie Hess of Mauston and Sam (Elaine) Hess of Wausau; sisters-in-law, Evelyn (Norman) Holtz of Reedsburg and Bernice Hess of Mauston; special friends, Charles and Linda Pfaff, Jim and Donna Pfaff of Rock Springs, and John and Cindy Pfaff of Sheboygan, and their families; nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Phillip Krey will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, at ST. PETER'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH in Reedsburg with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
