A memorial celebration of her life for family and friends will be held at noon Sunday at the Portuguese Hall at Highway 227 and Huasna Road in Arroyo Grande. Mrs. Webb was born Sept. 30, 1917, in Redfield SD one of three daughters of Walter and Margaret Ayrhart. She graduated from Redfield High School where she was active in music and drama. She was also a dancer and dance instructor. She relocated to Southern California while in her mid-twenties and resided in Long Beach and Orange County until 1984 when she moved to Arroyo Grande. A businesswoman she held several positions as an innkeeper, she owned and managed five hotel properties, four in the Disneyland area, and later the Arroyo Grande Grande Best Western in Arroyo Grande. She also took care of the family business for 30 years. She enjoyed this business in which she selected and supervised over 100 employees over a decade. Since 1984 she had been active in the local Church of Religious Science. Mrs. Webb enjoyed her family. Competitive, she also enjoyed various games including bridge and coordinated games and activities for family gatherings. She is survived by her husband Lee O. Webb, two sons Ronald of Arroyo Grande and Steven Haugen of Cayucos, daughter Janice Murphy of Eugene, Ore., three stepsons Daniel Webb of Guam, Steven Webb of Arroyo Grande and David Webb of Laguna Niguel, a sister Dorothy of Long Beach and 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Arroyo Grande Center for Creative Thinking and Spiritual Abundance.

Death3 January 1975Grace Viola Beyer died on 3 January 1975 at Oregon at age 91 Grace Viola Orr of Space 74 Cox Way Drive, 1263 Main St., died at a local nursing home Jan. 3. She was 91 years of age.

Mrs. Orr was born Dec. 20, 1883 in Minnesota and had lived in the Springfield area since 1923. Her husband, Rollie Orr, died Feb. 25, 1941.

Surviving are two sons, Jim R. Orr of Springfield and Lee J. Orr of Oakland, Calif; a daughter, Isabelle Shannon of Eugene; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Jan. 7, in Buell Chapel with Mr. Walter Nelson officiating. Interment followed in Lane Memorial Gardens.
