He is survived by his dearly loved partner Judy Williams; her daughters Denise and Tammy; his five children Mark, Joy, Larue, Donna and Charlie Glenn Passmore Jr; and grandchildren Holly, Jessica and Dustin. Other family members include nephews Mike, Rickey and the late Tommy Passmore as well as nieces Regina, Debbie, Sheila, Paula and Sherry. A proprietor of a wholesale/retail automotive business, Glenn was constantly on the move, taking him from coast to coast. Glenn had countless adventurous journeys throughout his lifetime where he came across numerous people sharing many humorous stories and making friends wherever his travels took him. Among his travels, the Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos were his favorites. Loving games of chance, his hobbies included playing cards and pool with friends and family. Glenn never turned down the opportunity to fire up the grill, while listening to his favorite beach and oldies tunes. He showed a particular interest in unique automobiles as well as sports cars. Being a North Carolina native, he enjoyed all his state had to offer: from the beaches near Wilmington to the mountains at Maggie Valley. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2007, in the chapel of Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Oleander Chapel by Major Sterling Mallard. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

    Surviving is his wife, Audrey Godwin Passmore of the home; four daughters, Regina Passmore and Steve Beaver of Durham, NC, Debbie Passmore of Portland, OR, Sheila Finnicum and
    husband Bradley of Wilmington, and Paula Passmore of Raleigh, NC. A son, Tommy Passmore passed away in 1986.
    Also surviving are two grandchildren, Dana and Ariel Finnicum; a brother, Charlie Glenn Passmore of Jacksonville, NC; a nephew Mike Passmore and wife Jean and their children, Robbie and Brandon; and a niece, Betty Mackie of Carolina Beach, NC. Mr. Passmore was the owner and operator of Passmore Refrigeration of Carolina Beach. He was a long-time member and past deacon of First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach. He was also a member of Bridge Barrier Sunday School Class.
    Mr. Passmore was a member and past master of Federal Point Masonic Lodge #753, A.F. & A.M. a member and past president of the Shriners, the York Rite Bodies, Scottish Rite Bodies, and was a past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star.
    He enjoyed fishing and was quite the collector of various tools. His passion however, was his grandchildren, Dana and Ariel. He was known as a talkative person, having never met a stranger.
    Mr. Passmore will be dearly missed by his loving family and the many friends whose lives he touched along his way. He was a "good spirit" and loved to bestow nicknames on family and friends. The family received friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. March 10, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 South College Road.
    A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006 at First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach by the Rev. Ronald Poythress. Masonic Rites were accorded by members of Federal Point Lodge # 753, A.F. & A.M.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach, Building Fund, 409 N. Lake Park Blvd. Carolina Beach, NC, 28428.
