Birth4 July 1915Adeline Rose Drozda was born on 4 July 1915 at Minnesota.
She was the daughter of Joseph Drozda and Mary Nohava.
Marriage2 September 1935Adeline Rose Drozda married Delmore F. Festler, son of Fred Anthony Festler and Emma Helen Lamberty, on 2 September 1935.
Death25 April 2006Adeline Rose Drozda died on 25 April 2006 at age 90 Adeline Rose Festler, 90, of Little Falls, Minn., and formerly of Park Rapids and Walker, died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls.

She was born July 4, 1915, in Lonsdale, Minn., to Joseph and Mary (Nohava) Drozda. As a young girl she moved with her family to Northfield, Minn., where she attended school and grew into a young woman. She married Delmore "Delly" Festler in Northfield Sept. 2, 1935. The couple farmed until the late 1940s, when they purchased Mantrap Lodge on Big Mantrap Lake near Park Rapids that they ran for several seasons. During the winter months they both worked in the woods logging. The logs were used to build a ranch home in Northfield. Later, they returned to northern Minnesota and bought Hiawatha Beach Resort near Walker and operated it for three seasons.

After retirement the couple lived in Walker and then built a cabin on Bad Axe Lake near Park Rapids, that also was built with lumber milled from wood logged at Mantrap. They spent several winters in Weslaco, Texas.

After her husband died in 1977, she moved to Weslaco permanently until 2005, when she moved to Little Falls to be closer to family.

She had many hobbies and interests. She took great pride in the fact that she and her husband had built two homes from scratch. She loved living on Bad Axe Lake and enjoyed spending time on the water, boating and fishing. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Park Rapids. She was a food enthusiast who took great pleasure coordinating and catering for large groups. Above all, she loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild, who were the pride and joy in her life.

She is survived by one son, Fredrick (Kathy) of Little Falls; two daughters Mary Helen (Roger) Cyr of Walker and and Betty (Jeff) Haukebo of Park Rapids; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother-in-law, Charles Croal of Fargo, N.D; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delmore; three sisters, Julia, Marion and Kathryn; and one brother, Edward.

Mass of Christian burial was held April 29 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Park Rapids with Father Dennis Wieland officiating. Interment was at Lake Emma Cemetery near Park Rapids.

Jones-Pearson Funeral Home of Park Rapids handled arrangements.
