Msgr. M.L. Kerper offered the Requiem Mass and officiated at the burial. He was survived by his wife, Christina Richard; a son, William H. Richard, of East Dubuque, Ill; a daughter, Mrs. Carl Finzel, of Dubuque, Ia; 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Joseph Richard, of Davenport, Ia., and Charles Richard, of Dubuque, Ia.
