Later he worked at Shakeproof Automatic Products, Lancaster and Land’s End, Dodgeville, until he moved to Platteville. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Peace, Platteville. Don is survived by his wife, Verla; daughter, Chris (Craig) Nodorft of Fennimore, WI; grandson, Curtis, granddaughter, Cassie (TJ) Vavricka, granddaughter, Laura Engelke; three great-grandchildren, Haylee, Alexis and Jayden; brother-in-law, Earl (Jolene) Appenzeller of Platteville, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry, daughter-in-law, Evelyn, parents, sister, Velma, father and mother-in-law, Jim and Myrtle Appenzeller and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Appenzeller.

Margaret was born to Emil and Ada (Wise) Riechers on November 26, 1929 in Platteville. She was united in marriage to Arnold L. Graves on November 1, 1948 at First English Lutheran Church, Platteville. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2003. Margaret and Arnold farmed in the Platteville area until 1978. She was an active member of First English her entire adult life. She organized the nursery during church services, established greeters, and was chairman of the annual rummage sale for many, many years. In her 70’s and early 80’s she continued to be actively involved with providing layettes and sock dolls for Lutheran World Relief. Margaret is survived by her six children, Theresa Graves of Nyack, NY; Sandra (Thomas) Jordan of Madison; Christine Larson of Lenexa, KS; William (Tamara) Graves of Overland Park, KS; Thomas (Paula) Graves of Wisconsin Rapids; and Cynthia (James) Mudroch of Oklahoma City, OK; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Wanda) Riechers of Diamond City, AR; three sisters-in-law, Ann Marie Riechers of Madison; Lorraine Riechers and Joyce Riechers both of Platteville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold; and brothers, Robert, Douglas, Guerdon, Leo, William, and Dean Riechers.

She and Guerdon ran a family dairy farm and lumber business near Montfort for many years. Ann taught elementary school in Fennimore for 16 years and was very active in the Wisconsin Education Association and Catholic Daughters. She loved life, whether it was time with her family, organizing card clubs, being involved in church activities, or shopping for the latest gadget that she "absolutely needed."

Ann is survived by her six children, John (Dianne) Riechers of Eau Claire, Lawrence (Jeanette) Riechers of Madison, Ruth Mathe of Middleton, Bernard (Kathleen) Riechers of Andover, Minn., Ronald (Teresa) of Sun Prairie, and Beth (Thomas) Kersten of Long Grove, Ill; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Hoppenjan and Robert (Renee) Hoppenjan; sisters, Mildred (Richard) Sorenson and Jean (Terry) Cleary; brother-in-law, Donald (Wanda) Riechers; sisters-in-law, Joyce Hoppenjan, Lorraine Riechers and Joyce Riechers; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Harold and Richard; sisters, Eileen, Florence and Joyce; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015, at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m., with visitation at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
