Thomas Otto Honer was born in Richland Center, WI on September 17, 1935, the son of the late Otto J. and Catherine (Killoy) Honer. Tom attended the St. John’s School for the Deaf in Milwaukee and graduated from the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan. Tom married Ellen Housman of Genoa City, WI on Sept. 26, 1959 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center. He worked for over 39 years as a printer for Chaney Instruments, Inc. of Lake Geneva, WI. Tom is survived by: Ellen his wife of 56 years, a brother Jim (Virginia) Honer of Madison, a sister-in law, Doris M. Honer of Richland Center, WI; a brother-in-law Ken (Sharon) Housman of West Allis, WI, three nephews, four nieces and many cousins and friends. Tom will be missed by his many friends, especially those in the deaf community. He was a great Brewers fan. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Otto in 1982, his mother, Catherine in 1992 and his brother Michael “Mike” Honer February 17, 2015. A special thank you to neighbors Sue and Terry Riek, who provided so much help to Tom and Ellen during Tom’s illness. Graveside services will be held on Saturday July 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Richland Center with Monsignor Roger Scheckel officiating. Michael was born on June 17, 1927, in Richland Center, WI, the son of Otto and Catherine (Killoy) Honer. He graduated from Ithaca High School in 1945, and attended Short Course at Madison. He married Doris M. Neuheisel on October 6, 1954, at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Plain. This past October 2014, they celebrated 60 years of marriage. He farmed rural Ithaca for 33 years, and in 1960, he moved to Cazenovia and farmed until he retired in 2000. He loved the land and helping with the farm work. He was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and enjoyed his family and spending time with the grandchildren. Michael looked forward to attending class and family reunions and farm auctions.

He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Cazenovia, and St. Mary's Catholic Church, Richland Center. He was also a KC member and Catholic Forester.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael K. Honer will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Germantown, with Father Wesley Janowski and Monsignor Roger Scheckel concelebrating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Cazenovia Chapel where the Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 PM. Visitation will also be held on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.

She was born on December 9, 1924 in Arena Township, and was the 13th of 15 children of Albert and Tillie (Odness) Mickelson. She married Donald Richards on January 13, 1945. Donald and Arlene then began farming together. She participated in all aspects of running the farm while raising seven children. Upon leaving the farm, Arlene worked 11 years for Pig Improvement Company (PIC). After retirement, she worked part-time for The Prairie House Motel until celebrating her 80th birthday.

Arlene was proud of her large family and enjoyed their many gatherings which most often included musical entertainment provided by talented relatives and friends. Arlene was a hardworking, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She also enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, and many great family fishing trips.

Arlene is survived by 5 children, Lavern (Jean) Richards, Betty (Ken) Koenig, Bonnie (Ronald) Fingerhut, John Richards, and Roger (Denise Cottone) Richards; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Richards; 10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Sally Milne, of Mesa, AZ; sister-in-law, Geraldine Mickelson, Horseshoe Bend, AR; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; sons, Bill and Dale; grandson, Jayson; step-grandchild, Bryan Eichorst; parents; 9 brothers, Clarence, Olvin, John, Gilman, Marvin, Milo, Tommy, Elmer, and Lawrence; 4 sisters, Alma Johnson, Melva Hottman, Albertha Sharer, and Doris Gladem.

Funeral services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 237 E. Daly St., Spring Green at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015. Rev. Douglas Larson-Sell will officiate with burial in the Spring Green Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or charity of your choice. The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green is assisting the family with the arrangements.

He was born on July 15, 1917 in Wyoming Valley, the son of George and Mae (Michels) Richards. He married Arlene Mickelson on Jan 13, 1945. Donald and Arlene farmed in Big Hollow until 1975. Donald then worked for Peck's Feed and Grain until he retired in 1984 due to poor health. He was a talented woodworker and spent countless hours in his workshop making various toys, windmills and chests. Donald enjoyed driving around the countryside and spotting windmills he had made. He especially loved sharing and entertaining his family with many stories of his life and experiences. He will long be remembered for his subtle humor, strong sense of integrity and quiet gentleness. Donald was a loving husband to his wife of 57 years, Arlene, and caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his children and grandchildren. Along with his wife, he is survived by three sons, Lavern (Jean) and Roger (Pat), both of Spring Green, and John of Madison; two daughters, Betty (Ken) Koenig of DeForest, and Bonnie (Ron) Fingerhut of Spring Green; daughter-in-law, Sharon of Lone Rock; 10 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Donald is further survived by a brother, Lyle of Austell, GA; and three sisters, Norma (Lucius) Davidson of DeForest, Lois (Jack) Swaziek of Muscoda, and Mary Lou (George) McCabe of Elkhorn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Bill (Sharon) and Dale; grandson, Jayson; step-grandson, Bryan Eichorst; brother, Wilbur (Maybelle); and three sisters, Stella (Tony) Bauer, Elizabeth Coyne and Berniece (Max) Stueber. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Christ Lutheran Church, 237 E. Daley St., Spring Green. Jean was born November 19, 1944 to John and Doris Biser of Bear Valley, the third of five children. She graduated from the Richland Center Teacher’s College. She taught school in Monona until she married the love of her life, Donald LaVern “Doc” Richards on August 17, 1968.

The greatest joys of Jean’s life were her children and grandchildren. As her granddaughter Riley said, “Grandma always gave us hugs.” That was Jean’s way, always giving. Whether providing food to make sure everyone’s tummy was full, sharing her beautiful smile or giving her unending energy to help someone, Jean always made sure to leave people better off than they were before she arrived. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, her love for her Family, and an unwavering faith in God as a member of St. John Catholic Church.

Jean is survived by her husband, her children Barb (Bob) Palmer, Vern (Nikki Dobbs) Richards and Randy (Becky) Richards; her grandchildren, Dan (Styph) Palmer, Matt (Keri) Palmer, Nathan (Allison Dougherty) Palmer, Laura Palmer, Kaylee Gleash, Brad Gleash, Riley Richards and Ember Richards; 6 greatgrandchildren; a brother, Ben (Sherrie) Biser; a sister, Frances Shepherd; sisters-in-law, Betty (Ken) Koenig and Bonnie (Ron) Fingerhut and Sharon Richards; brothers-in-law, John Richards, Roger (Denise) Richards.

Alice’s family and friends meant everything to her and she meant everything to them.
