Norbert was born May 6, 1922 to Michael Simon and Mary Theresa (Meister) Pulvermacher in the township of Bear Creek, and married Berniece Margaret Greenheck at Sacred Heart Church in Lone Rock on May 20, 1943. The two spent 58 loving years together before Berniece's passing in July of 2001. Norbert was a quiet man with a strong work ethic. He loved his family, his friends, working the land. . .be it the farm or garden, his God and his dog. Norbert worked at Oscar Mayer for 34 dedicated years. As a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Lone Rock and later St. Francis Xavier in Cross Plains, he spent many hours working on projects for both parishes, always ready with a paintbrush or screwdriver in hand. In addition he also held council positions and served as an usher. Norbert viewed his services to the church as labors of love and signs of faith in God. Norbert also loved woodworking. His garage became his workshop and it was there a sign reading "Grandpa Buddy's Workshop" once hung. He shared this love with his children and grandchildren through his many wonderful creations. Norbert is survived by his children Mary Borchert of Asbury, IA, James and Karolyn Pulvermacher of McFarland, Norbert, Jr. ?Butch? and Angie Pulvermacher of Lone Rock, Tom and Kathy Pulvermacher of Cross Plains, Deborah Pulvermacher of Cross Plains, Barbara and Kurt Johnson of Whitehall, Bill and Brenda Pulvermacher of Mazomanie, and David Pulvermacher of Black Earth; his grandchildren, Cindy and Herb Vanburg, Sue and Steve Tefft, Ed and Lisa Borchert, Beth and Steve Brosnahan, Ann Pulvermacher, Lori Pulvermacher, Norbie Pulvermacher, Mike and Lori Pulvermacher, Kate and Adam Stueber, Brian Pulvermacher, Bob Pulvermacher, Paige and Ian Johnson, Andrew and Heather Pulvermacher, Sara and Aaron Stephenson, Sam Johnson, Megan and Adam Grover, Kayla Pulvermacher and fianc? Greg, Deidra Pulvemacher, Christopher Pulvermacher, and Ashley Pulvermacher, In addition Norbert had 13 great-grandchildren, he loved all of the children in his life for the wonderful gifts they were to his family, each unique in their own way. Horeb, Agnes and Laverne Sutter of Mt. Horeb and Nancy Greenheck of Lone Rock, and last but definitely not least his faithful little dog Max. Norbert was preceded in death by his wife Berniece Pulvermacher, his parents, Michael and Mary Pulvermacher, father-in-law, Cornelius Greenheck, mother-in-law, Mary Greenheck; son-in-law, Tom Borchert; siblings Edmund, Bernard, Ambrose, Francis, Janelle and Richard Pulvermacher; and Rosemary and Jim Durst, in-laws, Mary Katherine and Anthony Schwarz, Jack Lins, John, Jerry, Bob and Ruth Greenheck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes Street, Cross Plains at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 with Father Thomas Kelley presiding. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 4:00 PM until 7:00PM on Monday, July 9, 2012 and also on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or Agrace Hospice. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.

He was born on Aug. 13, 1935, the son of Cornelius and Mary (Thibault) Greenheck. Albert served in the U.S. Army and was married on July 27, 1963 to the former Ann M. Martin. He was proud of his service to his country. He was also proud of his family and his many years as a Wisconsin dairy farmer. He and his brother John pioneered the use of pivot irrigation in Richland County. Albert, Ann and their family bred and owned an award-winning herd of registered Holsteins, including a Reserve All American and several others nominated as All Americans. Along with Randy Schmidt's family, the Greenhecks co-hosted Wisconsin Farm Progress Days in 2002. Albert was a warm and generous man, loved and remembered by countless family and friends. He covered a lot of territory, but never got far from home. Everyone will miss his smile and stories, many told from the window of his truck. Survivors include his wife, Ann Greenheck of Lone Rock; three children, Jamie (Steve Copley) Greenheck of New Orleans, La., Gregory Greenheck of Lone Rock, and Jennifer Greenheck of New Orleans, La; a brother, Cornelius Greenheck of Lone Rock; four sisters, Lorraine (Robert) Westphal of Cross Plains, Agnes (LaVerne) Sutter and Louise (Sylvester) Sutter both of Mount Horeb, and Pauline Lins of Spring Green; three sisters-in-law, Nancy Greenheck of Lone Rock, Sally (Umberto) DiFiore of South Pasadena, Calif., and Nancy Chellevold of Summit, N.J; a brother-in-law, James Bolin of Rockford, Ill; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Mary Greenheck; five brothers, Francis, Martin, Robert, John and Jerome "Jerry;" two sisters, Bernice Pulvermacher and Mary Kay Schwarz; an infant sister; four brothers-in-law, Jack Lins, Anthony Schwarz, Norbert Pulvermacher and Steven Chellevold; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Greenheck and Bonnie Bolin.
