A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3rd at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler, WI, with Fr. Joseph Bellamkonda officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Holy Ghost Church Cemetery in Dickeyville, WI. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, February 3rd from 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler, WI. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Mary Ann was born on July 9, 1939 to Emil & Florence (Welp) Hilby in Menominee, IL. She attended Menominee Grade School, Saint Clara Academy at the Mound and graduated from Clark College. She met the love of her life, Paul W. Burbach, at the Dominic Club. They were married on October 11, 1980. She worked the Dubuque Molo Oil Company, the Diocese of Dubuque in the Chancery Office and Frommelt Industries. She enjoyed traveling, family get togethers & taking photos. She traveled in “Ferdie the friendly Freightliner” with Paul all across the country. With the Dominic Club, she also traveled to Russia, Egypt, Jerusalem, many European countries, and Israel. But most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 45 years, Paul; by 3 siblings: Ione Turman, Joan Hilby & Jack (Rose) Hilby; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings: Robert Hilby, Doris (LaVern) Kuhle, Sr. Carol Hilby OSF, Mark Hilby, Margie (Bill) Burroughs; in-laws, Frank & Josephine (Pickel) Burbach and 3 brothers-in-law: Ralph Turman, Merlin Burbach & John Burbach. |

Pluemer, 92, of Platteville, Wisconsin died on Thursday, February 5, 2026 with his loving wife and family by his side at Edenbrook of Platteville. A Celebration of Life will be held at Noon, Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory of Platteville. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Delbert Pluemer Memorial Fund. Delbert was born on December 3, 1933, in Potosi, Wisconsin, eldest of the nine children of Sylvester “Jim” and Viola (Reuter) Pluemer. He was united in marriage to Donna White on February 14, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Delbert began his work career at Farley and Letcher’s in Dubuque, Iowa for 10 years. He then worked for several construction companies for the next 30 years rising to the position of Superintendent. Delbert finished his career working for 10 years as the Street Supervisor for the City of Platteville. Delbert loved playing cards, solving jigsaw puzzles, fishing, hunting and sports. His favorite sport was playing fastpitch softball where he excelled for many years and was inducted into the Wisconsin Fastpitch Hall of Fame in 2010. Delbert loved to take Donna out for a good supper and a night full of country and western dancing. Delbert is survived by his wife, Donna, daughter, Debbie (Rich) Christopherson; step-sons, Rich (Bonnie) White, Randy (Cindy) White, Russ (Michelle) White and Bart (Kara) White; 11 step-grandchildren; 26 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Stark, Marie (Norm) Kemnitzer and Velma Grimes; brothers, Walter “Baldy” and Norbert; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Pluemer, Marie Kratochwill, Jan Digman and Vicki Miles and many nieces and nephews. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Rodney White; step-grandchildren, Jessica Cundieff and Taylor White; sister, Dolores “Sis” Nihles; brothers, Loel and Francis; sisters-in-law Millie Pluemer and Bonnie Pluemer; brothers-in-law, Bob Nihles, Clayton Stark and Jerry Grimes. |

| Death | 5 March 2026 | Arland Arne Rusten died on 5 March 2026 at age 83 Arland Arne Rusten, age 83, passed away peacefully in his home at Tea, South Dakota in the early morning dawn on March 5, 2026. A memorial service will be held at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford, SD at 2PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Visitation with the family present will start at 1PM. Arland was born July 18, 1942 to Arne and Borghild (Ellefson) Rusten at home on the family homestead. He attended grade school at Plainview #4, a country school that his sisters, as well as his dad and siblings, attended. His freshman year of high school was at Augustana Academy in Canton, SD. He graduated from Beresford High School. Arland was baptized and confirmed at Lands Lutheran Church, rural Hudson, SD. Arland lived on the farm and later moved into Beresford. He worked at Woodfield Center (LSS) for 30 faithful years. He was passionate about healthy foods and dabbled in organic farming. During his younger years he greatly enjoyed the Huset Speedway races on Sunday summer nights. Sometimes he drove like he was on the racetrack! Arland enjoyed going to farm auctions and tinkering with old farm machinery. He was skilled with a self-taught repair ability. When Arland was stricken with serious health issues he moved in with his sisters, Mary and Dodie in Sioux Falls. They lived briefly there before moving to a townhome in Tea, SD. They lived together harmoniously and formed a tight bond of care and love. They daily lived their Christian faith in their love and service to each other, a wonderful thing to behold. Arland is survived by three sisters, Barb (Dennis) Weber of Rapid City, Delores “Dodie” Knudtson of Tea and Dorothy Williamson of Sioux Falls; his nieces and nephews, Scott (Emily) Weber of Bondurant, IA, Tamara (Brian) Hakl of Yankton, April (Brent) Schave of Sioux Falls, Rebecca (Dennis) Sedlacek of Sioux Falls, Wendi (Jon) Albers of Rapid City, Denae Tak of Sioux Falls, Danell (Mike) Miles of Harrisburg, Chad (Lacey) Williamson of Coleman, SD, Troy Williamson of Ree Heights, SD, and Travis Williamson of Sioux Falls; 13 great-nieces and nephews, five great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arne and Borghild Rusten; an infant brother, William Tad; sister, Mary Alice Moen; two brothers-in-law, Chris Moen and Ron Williamson; and Dodie’s fiancé, Richard Schulz. |
