Stella went to be with "her man" surrounded by her loving family. She and Walter raised nine children, and she was a homemaker her entire life. Her doors were always open to family and friends. There was never a time that you couldn't drop by and she would welcome you into her home. Anytime you asked her how she was doing, she would say "still kicking, just not as high." Stella lived at home until she went to the hospital for her final journey. She loved watching The Wheel of Fortune every night, but most of all, she enjoyed keeping up on every one of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She kept track of what was going on with everyone, always checking on them right up to the end.
