Bob was born on May 5, 1932 to Bernard and Anita (McReynolds) Udelhofen in Potosi, Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Florence Tindell in 1952 and they had three sons. They lived on Monroe Street and also had a great neighborhood family. While married, Bob served in the United States Army. After his return hone he and Florence resided here in Platteville. He worked at the Dubuque Pack for many years, and he and Florence also ran the Platteville Golf and Country Club. Bob was a member of the Platteville Country Club for 40 years, the American Legion and he served on the Platteville Volunteer Fire Department for a few years.
Bob and Florence moved to Arizona for a few years to be closer to their son (who was in the service). He worked their continuing to use his meat cutting skills. They then moved to Newton, Iowa for ten years to be closer to their middle son, Steve, and his family. There Bob worked at Careage of Newton Nursing Home doing maintenance.
Finally Bob and Florence moved back to settle down in Platteville where Bob went to work for his youngest son, Rob, at the Platteville Golf and Country Club mowing Roughs and loving it until his retirement.
Bob enjoyed so many things in his life, family, friends, golf, fishing, hunting, his story telling and his best companion, D.J. His life was complete and he couldn’t have asked for anything else.
He is survived by his wife, Florence, of 61 years; sons, Steve, Rob (Ann) Udelhofen all of Platteville; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Justin (Lindsay) Udelhofen and their family, Austin, Dylan and Destiny of Rocksbury, WI; Steven (Emily) Udelhofen and their son, Steven (S.J.) of Sauk City, WI; Shannon Udelhofen and his daughter, Aurora; Jesse Udelhofen and his children, Sophia and Sawyer; Joshua Udelhofen; Jamie Udelhofen all of Platteville; Elliot Holzworth and his children, Finely and Aven of Madison; brothers, Ronnie (Helen) Udelhofen; Donny (Doris) Udelhofen; Jake (Joanne) Udelhofen; Jerry (MaryLou) Udelhofen; sister, Phyllis Genthe; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dick and Pat McWilliams, George and Alice Williams and Jim and Sandra Tindell He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Mike, daughter-in-law, Tina, sister, Kay and brothers-in-law, Ray and Harold.

Ruby was born on August 21, 1922 in Belmont, Wisconsin the daughter of Oscar and Mary Katherine “Katie” (Rowe) Nicholas. She was united in marriage to Paul Engelke on June 15, 1942 at First English Lutheran Church, Platteville. He preceded her in death and Ruby is reunited with Paul now. Ruby graduated from Belmont High School in 1940. She worked at the Burgess Battery Factory, Platteville Hospital, UW-Platteville. For many years she worked at Dick’s Grocery Store, in the deli before going to work with her son, Gary, at Hometowne Bakery, Platteville. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Platteville. She enjoyed playing cards and socializing. She always enjoyed a good game of cribbage and keeping in touch with her family through her computer and iPad. She was the most awesome MOM anybody could have. Her mantra was, “If you can’t say anything nice, then don’t say anything at all.” She was seldom silent. She could make a meal out of nothing at all. Amazing!! She started quilting at age 60, and made many, many quilts. We’re all warmer for it.
She is survived by her children, Roger (Ann) of Marion, NC; Sandi (Scott Tonk) Reichling of North Fort Myers, FL; Milton (Virginia Lehman) of Lebanon, OR; Marvin (Elaine) of Blanchardville, WI; Gary (Eileen) of Platteville; Gale (Rhonda Harbin) of Powell, TN; Cindy (Alan) McReynolds of Fairport, NY; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; brothers, Warren (Dordy) Nicholas of Belmont, WI; and Beryl Nicholas of Mesa, AZ; brother/sisters-in-law, Tom & Joyce Tracy and Jeanne Engelke. Gaylord lived in Darlington his entire life where he owned and operated Gaylord's Texaco Service from Oct. 4, 1954 until June 1, 1966. He then began working for the Lafayette Electric Co-op (R.E.A.) on the next day. Gaylord remained with R.E.A. until 1986. He then started Gaylord's Appliance in March of 1986. Gaylord also drove school bus for Al's Trucking for many years.
Gaylord is survived by his wife, Sandi; his children, Chanel Gutierrez of Cape Coral, Fla., Renee (Dan) Wendt of Slinger, Anita Reichling of New Hampton, Iowa, and Jennifer (Chuck) Johnson of Dubuque, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Joshua and Stefani Gutierrez, Chase, Isaac and Andrew Johnson, and Charlene, Clara and Catherine Wendt; a great-grandson, Xavier; and a sister, Lorraine Keister of Wiota.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at IMMANUEL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 339 East Louisa Street, Darlington with the Rev. Kathleen Rinear officiating. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held Friday, April 24, 2009, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the church where Masonic Rites will be accorded at 7:30 p.m. by Evening Star Lodge 64 Free and Accepted Masons of Darlington.

Warren was born on December 22, 1930 in Lafayette County, son of Oscar and Mary Katherine “Katie” (Rowe) Nicholas. He was united in marriage to Delores M. “Dordy” Wehnke on August 3, 1957 at the Belmont Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on November 30, 2019. Warren was a lifelong farmer in Belmont Township, a true “man of the land”. He also worked at Lands End, Dodgeville. Warren enjoyed playing cards, especially poker, black jack and smear. For many years he bowled in the local bowling leagues. He and Delores liked to travel going on family vacations to Hayward, Wisconsin, wintering in Florida and bus trips, which often took him and “Dordy” to casinos.

He is survived by his two children, Judy Nicholas and her husband, Rick Federman, and James Nicholas; brother, Beryl Nicholas and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, Mark and Scott, his parents, sister Ruby Engelke and her husband, Paul, and brother, Walter “Buster” Nicholas and his wife, Marie.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 4:00 pm at the church. Visitation will begin one hour prior to services on Monday at the Church.

Barb was born on September 5, 1958 in Sioux City, Iowa to Perry Edward and Rose Catherine (Donahue) Heydon. She grew up in Newcastle, NE and graduated from Newcastle High School in 1977. She married Russell L. “Rusty” Erickson on September 29, 1978 in Ponca, NE and they had 4 daughters. Rusty died on January 16, 1988 at the age of 36. On August 13, 1994 Barb married Leo A. Pinkelman in Hartington and they had two children and a step-daughter. Barb worked in several nursing homes for 34 years most recently at the Good Samaritan Center in Bloomfield for the past 12 years.

She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and she loved horses, camping, gardening and festive family gatherings. She especially enjoyed caring for others.

Barb is survived by her husband Leo A. Pinkelman of Hartington, six daughters, Misty Jensen of Yankton, SD; Mandy Erickson of St. Paul, NE; Megan Hopson of Stanton, NE; Melisa and Lowell Janssen Jr. of Yankton; Emily Pinkelman of Yankton; Tiffany Pinkelman of St. Paul, NE; a son, Travis Pinkelman of Hartington; 15 grandsons, four granddaughters, two sisters, Marybeth and Delmar Johnson of Sioux City, Iowa; Monica Brewer of Livermore Falls, Maine; two brothers, Joe and Shirley Heydon of Carroll , NE; Bob and Diane Heydon of Eagle, NE; many nieces and nephews and Rusty’s parents, Lawrence and Gayle Obermeyer of Hartington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Rusty, parents-in-law, Arthur and Maureen Pinkelman, and an infant brother, Ray Heydon.
