He grew up in the Constance area and graduated from Crofton High School in 1936. He married Catherine R. Grady June 3, 1977, at Constance. Mac farmed in the Constance area until moving into Crofton in 1993. He had been a resident of the Golden Living Center, Hartington, since December 2010.
Mac was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He loved to golf and was a charter member of the Crofton Lakeview Golf Course. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid gardener. Mac is survived by six step children and their spouses, Linda and Jim Joachimsen, Crofton; Nancy and Don Boswell, Herman; Steve and Deb Grady, Omaha; David and Holly Grady, Denver, Colo; Mary and John Hintz, Lincoln; Julie and Mark Severns, Cabot, Ark;14 step grandchildren; 20 step great-grandchildren; a sister, Laura Arens, Crofton; a brother, Don “Tom” and Jeanie Reifenrath, Crofton; and a sister in law, Viola Reifenrath, Crofton. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Catherine, June 27, 2008, at the age of 87; four brothers, George, Albert, Rudolph and Norbert Reifenrath; a sister, Mary Ann Leise; and a step grandson, Steven Allen Grady.

Donald Frank was born on May 31, 1927 in Constance, Nebraska to Gerlach F. and Theresa (Mueller) Reifenrath. He attended school in Crofton and helped his dad and brothers on the family farm. He married Imogene Antionette Bonertz on January 29, 1951 in Menominee, Nebraska. Seven children were born to this union. Donald “Tom” farmed on his own until 1984. He raised grain, livestock, chickens, and hogs. After retiring from farming Donald did janitorial work for Yankton College for four years, then janitorial work for 10 years at Gavin Point Dam Power Plant. He then was the janitor for Crofton Elementary School for 10 years, retiring again in 2008 at the age of 79 years.

Donald “Tom” was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Constance. He raised a big garden for many years, always having watermelon and sweetcorn. He loved to mow and tinker around outside. He always enjoyed his children and grandchildren and had a sense of humor. He and Imogene loved to Polka dance. He was a baseball fan – watching the Twins, rooting for the Vikings and Nebraska Huskers.

Donald “Tom” is survived by his wife of 69 years, Imogene of Crofton; six children and spouses Donna Smith of Sioux Falls, SD, Ken and Patty Reifenrath of Kearney, NE, Gary Reifenrath of Omaha, NE, Loren Reifenrath of Yankton, SD, Laurie (Dave) Hansen of Crofton, Bryan (Val) Reifenrath of Surprise, AZ; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a sister Laura “Lolly” Arens of Norfolk, NE.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, son Randy on 1/6/1994 at age 32; daughter-in-law Joanne Reifenrath on 4/13/1994; brothers and spouses George (Clara) Reifenrath, Albert (Ceil) Reifenrath, Rudolph (Ceil) Reifenrath, Norbert (Viola) Reifenrath, Lawrence “Mac” (Kay) Reifenrath; sister Mary Ann (Alphonse) Leise; brother-in-law Clarence J. Clarence was born August 16, 1919, in Fordyce to Edward and Ida (Schulte) Arens. He grew up on a farm 3 miles east of Fordyce and attended school at District 108. He farmed with his father and worked for Art Arens at the elevator in Hartington prior to his marriage. He married Laura Reifenrath on February 15, 1944, in Constance. He and his wife farmed 6 miles southwest of Crofton until 1976 when he retired and moved into Crofton. He loved the farm, playing cards, fishing, traveling and spending time with his entire family.
Clarence was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton and was a former trustee of the church.
He is survived by his wife, Laura of Crofton; six children and their spouses: Jim and Marietta Arens of Norfolk; Norma and Vern Schieffer, Charles and Delores Arens, Dale and Charlotte Arens, Clair and Diane Arens, all of Crofton; Alice and Jon Bolin of Norfolk; 24 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters: Sylvia Hochstein of Crofton, Loretta Pick of Bow Valley, Isabelle Kramer of Hartington, Mildred Kramer of Hartington, Rosella Kramer of Yankton; 2 brothers and their wives: Rudolph and Ella Arens and Roman and Arlene Arens, both of Hartington.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; and infant daughter, Rose Marie Arens; a grandson, Curt Arens; 3 sisters: Pauline Lammers, Hildegard Lammers, Marie Kube and 7 brothers-in-law.

Loretta Pick was born July 25, 1915 on the farm near Bow Valley, Nebraska, to Edward and Ida (Schulte) Arens. She attended country school district 108 and graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1932. She married Edwin Pick on April 27, 1937. They farmed between Bow Valley and Fordyce and raised six children on the farm. They retired and built a home in Bow Valley in 1972. Edwin died in 1996. She continued to live in Bow Valley until entering Autumn Winds in Hartington in 2010. Her faith was central in her life and she loved her flowers and playing cards.

Survivors include her five children: Rita Hoesing of Menominee, Nebraska; Eileen Wieseler; Don & Nancy Pick; Larry & Donna Pick; and Dan & Mary Pick all of Bow Valley, Nebraska; 23 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Roman & Arlene Arens of Bow Valley; sister-in-law, Lolly Arens of Crofton, Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin; son, Kenneth; two brothers: Rudolph and Ella Arens and Clarence J. Arens; seven sisters: Pauline & Alfred Lammers, Hildegarde & Hugo Lammers; Sylvia & Alfred Hochstein; Rosella & Roman Kramer; Mildred & Martin Kramer; Isabelle & Richard Kramer; and Marie & Norman Kube.

After their marriage they farmed southeast of Crofton. Martin died on January 22, 2001 at the age of 85. She was a resident of Beverly Healthcare since Jan. 20, 2003.
Mildred was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Guild in Constance and the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed music, painting, and sewing. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

A funeral mass is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Crofton, Neb., with Rev. Bob English officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Cemetery, Constance, Neb.
Pallbearers will be Joe Newman, Matt Newman, Brian Kramer, Michael Kramer, Jeff Addison, Dan Addison, Ryan Addison, Carl Addison, Michael Kuchta, Brandon Kathol, Corey Kramer, Justin Kelley and Jesse Kelley.
Visitation is from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Crofton, with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
Wintz Funeral Home, Crofton, is in charge of the arrangements.
He was born Sept. 3, 1915, at Hartington, Neb., to Julius and Mary (Sudbeck) Kramer. He grew up in the Hartington area and farmed with his dad until his marriage to Mildred Mathilda Arens Jan. 21, 1941. He then moved to Crofton where he farmed until retiring in 1996.
He belonged to the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Constance, and was an active choir member and lector for many years. He was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was an avid baseball player and fan and pitched on various area teams.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Kramer, Hartington; nine children: Gary Kramer, Bloomfield, Neb; Mary Lou (John) Addison, Newcastle, Neb; LaDonna (Tom) Kuchta, Crofton; Rose (Keith) Newman, Lawton, Iowa; Francis (Deb) Kramer, Crofton; Randy (Sandy) Kramer, Yankton; Gerri Lynn (Eugene) Pinkelman, Wynot, Neb; John (Sue) Kramer, Hartington; Marty (Bonnie) Kramer, Hartington; 38 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roman Kramer, Crofton; and one sister, Elsie Elliott, Hartington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons, three brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Scott Kramer, Marc Schulte, Joel Schulte, Chad Kramer, Brett Kramer, Jon Hoesing, Keith Kramer, and Seth Bird.

Rosella J. Kramer was born on August 7, 1921, to Edward and Ida (Schulte) Arens near Bow Valley, NE. She attended school at District 108. Rosella married Roman Alphonse Kramer on February 18, 1941 in Bow Valley. After their marriage they lived on the Kramer homestead for five years. In March of 1946, they moved to a farm southwest of Crofton where they farmed until November of 1978 when they moved into Crofton. Roman died on April 22, 2002 at the age of 83 years. Rosella had been a resident these past years at Majestic Bluffs in Yankton, SD and at the Pierce Manor in Pierce, NE.

Rosella was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. She was a very talented seamstress and loved gardening, crocheting, playing cards and spending time with her family. She was a former Election Board member and a member of the Pleasant Hour extension club.

She is survived by her eight children and their spouses, Ron and Janet Kramer of Pierce, NE, Ruth and Dennis Schulte of Lincoln, NE, Dave and Marilyn Kramer of Crofton, Marcel and Sheila Kramer of Crofton, Judy and Duane Hoesing of Menominee, NE, Kim and Jean Kramer of Fircrest, WA, Steve and Arlene Kramer of Omaha, NE, DiAnn and Gordon "Butch" Bird of Milford, CT; 19 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; three sisters, Sylvia Hochstein of Omaha, Loretta Pick of Bow Valley, NE, Isabelle Kramer of Hartington; two brothers, Rudy Arens of Coleridge, NE, and Roman and Arlene Arens of Bow Valley; sister-in-law, Laura Arens of Crofton.

Rosella was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roman on April 22, 2002; four sisters, Pauline Lammers, Hildegarde Lammers, Mildred Kramer (her twin), Marie Kube; and a brother, Clarence J. Arens.

Hildegarde was born on April 1, 1912, in Bow Valley, Nebraska to Edward and Ida (Schulte) Arens. She grew up in Bow Valley and was married to Hugo William Lammers on August 31, 1937, in Bow Valley, Nebraska. She and Hugo farmed and raised a family of nine children near Hartington. Hugo died on December 4, 1968, at the age of 55. Hildegarde moved into Hartington in 1992 and moved to Majestic Bluffs in Yankton, SD in 2001. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and its Ladies Aide, Christian Mothers, member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington, NE. She loved her flowers, gardening, playing cards, sewing, quilting, crocheting and spending time with her family. She was an excellent cook and also liked to play the piano when she had some free time.

A concelebrated requiem high mass was said Saturday, Dec. 7, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fordyce for Hugo W. Lammers, 55, of Hartington. Rev. Cyril J. Werner officiated, assisted by three priests, who were friends of the family.

Interment was in the parish cemetery with the Smith Wintz Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Tom Lammers, Dennis Lammers, Vernon Filips, Cyril Lammers, Herbert Pautler and Roger Love.

Mr. Lammers died Wednesday, Dec. 4 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Norfolk, following a heart attack.

Hugo William Lammers was born December 23, 1912 at Hartington, the son of Joseph H. Lammers and Catherine Willenbring Lammers. He married Hildegarde Arens at Bow Valley August 31, 1937 and resided in Cedar County his entire life where he was engaged in farming.

They were the parents of nine children: Mrs. Marcell (Denelda) Becker of Hartington, Marvin of Hartington, Mrs. Gerald (Mary Jean) Steffen of Crofton and Allen, Vernon, Merlin, Darrell, Anita and David, all of Hartington.

Mr. Lammers was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic church, The Holy Name Society and a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Survivors include his wife, and nine children; eight grandchildren; three brothers: Raymond of Fordyce and Alfred and Rudolph, both of Hartington; five sisters: Mrs. Otto Paulter, Dorothy Lammers, both of Hartington, Mrs. Walt Prier of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Laverne Hansen of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Kenny Love of Crofton.
