She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Elaine and Everett Kopf of Baraboo. four grand children, and four great grandchildren; one sister Loretta Conway of Baraboo, two sister-in-laws, Ruby Pickar of Sauk City, and Eleanor Pickar of North Freedom.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Monday May 23rd, 1994 at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Joseph Henry officiating.
Inturnment will take place at Saint Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.

They had two daughters, Janet (better known as Penny) Krusell, and Judy Hubbard; three grandchildren, Patrick McClure, Matthew Shay and Julie Hubbard; three great-grandchildren, Kyle McClure, Jessica and Jenna Shay; and one great-great-granddaughter, Annaylse Shay. Jewel was very fond of her extended family of nieces and nephews.

Jewel worked for the U.S. government for nine years. With assignments here and overseas, including one year in Vietnam. After her retirement she got her Realtors Brokers License and worked in Sierra Vista for the next 13 years.

Jewel liked to travel both here and abroad. She was happiest behind the wheel of her car, having driven in 49 states, except for Alaska, which she did on tour. She was an avid hiker and ballroom dancer. Jewel danced several seasons with Sierra Vista’s Rickety Rockettes.

Jewel continued her education throughout her adult life, earning a degree in History. She kept busy making sweaters and afghans for family and friends; and lap blankets for the Veteran’s Hospital in Tucson.

She was affiliated with the BPOE 2065 in Sierra Vista.

Jewel had three sisters: Marcella (Cyril) Gasner (deceased), Winifred (Don) Smith (deceased), and her youngest sister Lorna (Clifford) Pundt resides in Florida.

A memorial will be held at the Sierra Vista Elks Lodge Sunday, March 6, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Casa De La Paz Hospice, Sierra Vista.

Ruth Joan Faber was born on April 13, 1930 in Bear Valley, Wisconsin, the daughter of Gerald and Bertilla (nee Schmitz) Faber. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School and Bear Valley High School. On May 13, 1958 she was united in marriage to Paul W. Schilling. Paul preceded her in death on October 23, 2016. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown. Jo had been employed at General Telephone, Douglas Grade School and St. Henry’s Church. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packer fan. She loved to read, sew, solve crossword puzzles and make fresh bread every week.
Jo is survived by six children; Doug (Patti) Schilling and Dan (Laurie) Schilling, both of Watertown, Kathy (Mike) Schilling-Kressin of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jeff (Amy) Schilling of Mayville, Marc (Chris) Schilling of Watertown and Ellen (Dana) Balicki of Geneva, IL, twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; sister, Pauline Dobson; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was further preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Oscar and Alma Schilling; sisters, Jane (Gordon) Schwartz, Edith Fargen, Katherine Ann (Tommy) Fargen and Marge (Larry) Parkhurst; brothers, Philip Faber and Larry Faber; sisters-in-law, Helen (Bob) Meyer and Eunice (Jerry) Wheeler.
