Patricia was born March 5, 1924, at Yankton, SD, a daughter of Peter and Isabel (Smith) Slowey. Born and raised in South Dakota, she attended Yankton High School and then went to business school. Patricia married Donald A. Busch on April 20, 1951, in Rapid City, SD. She worked as an inspector for Anchor Glass Company in Shakopee for 25 years, was a donut maker at Casey's General Store in New Prague and worked at Anita's Day Care. Patricia was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in New Prague. She enjoyed annual vacations in the Black Hills with her sisters, and her nieces and nephews were very important to her.

She is survived by three daughters Anita Kane, New Prague, Jean Busch, Bloomington and Colleen (Tim) Kellogg, Portland, OR; five grandchildren; two sisters Jean Schacher, Black Hawk, SD and Delores Haslem, Arvada, CO; and sister-in-law Mary Slowey, Chicago, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband on April 15, 2009; son-in-law Kevin Kane; her parents; and a brother Robert Slowey.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague, with Rev. David Barrett officiating.

Interment will be at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery in New Prague. Pallbearers were Mark Sobraske, Jim Sobraske, Mark Slavik, Matt Anderson, Joe Kane and Jim Slavik.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
