Mrs. Ele was a co-owner with her husband for 33 years of the Les and Pearl’s Tavern, Union Mills. She was a member of the American Legion Post 295 Auxiliary, Union Mills, and the LaPorte County Tavern Owners Association.

    Surviving are two daughters, Yvonne Riechers of Indian Head Park and Michelle Allen of Grant Park; five grandchildren, Cisa Curtin of LaGrange, Andrea (Brian) Rubash of Janesville, Wis., Cassandra Allen, Cpl. Kiel Allen and Ira Allen, all of Grant Park; two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Bailey Rubash; one sister, Velma Willie of Momence; and one sister-in-law, Lorna Rosenbrock of Kankakee.

    One brother, Arnold Rosenbrock and one sister, Lorna Mussman, are deceased.
