He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lola Hausladen, his wife, Bernice Hausladen, an infant daughter, 4 brothers, George (Jane), Marcus, Louis and Ambrose Hausladen, 7 sisters, Sr. Agatha Hausladen OP, Sr. Renata Hausladen OP, Armella (Albert) Kowalske, Gertrude (Emmert) Oehrlein, Martha (Edward) Zaidel, Agnes and Elizabeth Hausladen and a brother-in-law, Russell Kruse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain. Fr. John Silva will officiate with burial in the church cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Plain American Legion Post #398. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. where a rosary will be prayed at 8:00 P.M. Visitation will also be held on Friday at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass.

Together they traveled the Midwest for his job with Edward Kraemer and Sons bridge builders. Both loved to fish in northern WI and were active in the Plain American Legion and Legion Auxiliary. Marge was preceded in death by her husband Russell, parents W. George and Lola (Pulvermacher) Hausladen, sisters, Sr. M. Agatha Hausladen O.P., Sr. M. Renata Hausladen O.P., Armella (Al) Kowalski, Martha (Edward) Zaidel, Gertrude (Emmert) Oehrlein, and Agnes Hausladen. Brothers, George (Jane), Marcus, Charles (Bernice), Louis, and Ambrose, along with a niece, Linda Hausladen, and nephews Lawrence Zaidel and James Kowalski. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Carolyn (Reider) Hausladen-Frank of Plain, nieces Gloria Derge of West Hills, CA, Gail Lamberty of Roxbury WI, Carol (Tom) Walsh of Plain WI and Cheryl (Philip) Limmex of Spring Green WI. Surviving nephews are George (Chris) Hausladen of Green Bay WI, Greg (Janet) Zaidel of Milwaukee WI and Dean (Judy) Hausladen of Slinger WI. A private family mass and burial will be held at St. Luke’s Church and Cemetery.

He then worked as a fire fighter at Badger Ordinance for many years until his retirement. Following his retirement, he worked for several years at the Hoof Funeral Home. Rich served as a member of the Reedsburg Fire Department for thirty-seven years. He was also a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rich enjoyed bowling, socializing and spending time with his family. Survivors include his four children: Steven Liegel, and his wife, Deanna, of Sun Prairie, and their sons: Alex, Ryan and Zachary; Richelle (Randy) Freng, of Mauston, and her children: Randi (Darrell) Petty, Bradlee, Cody and Dylan McBee; Toni (Greg) Pierce, of Neenah, and their children: Jessica, Matthew, Meghan (Andrew) and Kayla; Lori (Jasen) Glasbrenner, of Richmond, VA, and their children: Elias, Isaiah, Erin and Alivia; his great grandchildren: Robert, Michael, Zachary, MaKenna, Mason, Selena and Angelique; his twin brother: Bill (Marcy) Liegel, of Sauk City; his sister: Monica Liegel, of Reedsburg; his sister-in-law: Allene Liegel, of Reedsburg; two nieces; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy, on September 19, 2013; his sister: Theresa Liegel and three brothers: Bernie, Melvin and Paul Liegel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg with Father David Carrano officiating. Interment with military rites will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg where a Scripture service will be held at 7:30 P.M. There will also be a visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Reedsburg Fire Department would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, and two grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015, and also at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.

Death30 August 2015Valerie Emma Lins died on 30 August 2015 at age 82 Valerie Emma Phillips, age 82, of Reedsburg, died on Sunday, August 30, 2015 in the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center. She was born on October 26, 1932 in the Township of Franklin, Sauk County, the daughter of Frank and Cecilia (Gruber) Lins. Val was active in 4-H and provided daycare in her home for many years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, basket weaving and doing her daily crossword puzzles. Survivors include her six daughters: Kathleen (Kim) Overgaard, Jeanne (John) Kast, Laurell (Scott) Cooper, Roberta Duren, Sue Ellen Phillips and Jennifer (Dennis) Littfin; nine grandchildren: Heather, Mike, Nick, Blake, Cole, Rachel, William, Sarah Jane and Sophia; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters: Bernadette Beck, Imelda (Richard) Adelman and Lois Degner; one brother: Gary (Virginia) Lins. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Nancy Phillips; son: Jeffrey; an infant son; her grandson: Nathan Kast; three brothers: Francis; Victor and Donald Lins and one sister: Evelyn Dwyer. A private family memorial service will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lime Ridge with Deacon Ron Pickar officiating. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
