Harvey was a farmer all of his life. He was born and raised on and farmed the family farm his entire life.

He was born July 25, 1932, on the family farm, son of Charles and Josephine Kieler . He married Mary Adam Feb. 27, 1954, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dubuque.

He was an Army veteran. In 1960, he was voted an outstanding farmer. He was an avid Packers fan, and enjoyed reading, playing cards and telling jokes with people. He enjoyed staying on the family farm. He loved his time spent with his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; six sons, Steven (Lisa), and Gregory (Carolyn), both of Cuba City, Jeffery, and Neil (Charlene), both of Dickeyville, and Kurt and Calvin (Diana), both of Cuba City; four daughters, Julia (Dale) Salzmann, Pamela Kieler , Patricia Kieler , and Rebecca Kieler , all of Dickeyville; 25 grandchildren; three brothers, Floyd, of Potosi, Charles, of Dickeyville, and Clair, of Hazel Green; a sister, Mary Ann Melssen, of Dickeyville; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ambrose, Leander, and James; and a sister, Margaret Melssen.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jackie was born April 6, 1931, in Kieler, WI, daughter of Virgil and Elizabeth "Liz" (Uthe) Hubler. She was a graduate of Cuba City High School. On September 12, 1953, she married James C. Welu at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dubuque. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2008.
Jaqueline was an active, lifetime member of the Church of the Resurrection. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Jackie was a dedicated homemaker who extended love, kindness and home-cooked meals to all who graced her table. A great cook and baker, her recipes will always be treasured by her family. Jackie focused her love on her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by seven children, Wendy (Syl) Connolly, of Dubuque, Lori (Rick) Trausch, of Dubuque, and their daughters, Shanna Trausch of Sacremento, CA and Samantha (David) Hogan and their children, Drake, Lucy and Leo, of Des Moines, IA, Julie Welu, of Dubuque, and her daughter, Elizabeth; Tracey (Matt) O'Connor, of Hopkinton, IA, and their sons, Liam and Seamus, Ann (Jeff) Thompson, of Hastings, MN, and their sons, Asa and Shane, Eric Welu, of Dubuque, and his children, Jacob and Gabbi, and Chad Welu (fiancé Amy Shepherd, and her daughter, Mikki and family), of Dubuque.
Jackie is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Ann Hubler of Crystal Lake, IL; Adele Palmer and Jean Welu of Dubuque, and her brother in law, T.J. Welu (Carole) of Dubuque.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gerhard "Butch" Hubler and James Hubler.

Death24 May 2016Frederick T. Uthe died on 24 May 2016 at age 85 Frederick T. "Fred" Uthe , 85, of Dubuque, IA, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Dubuque Specialty Care, surrounded by his loving family.

To honor Fred's life, funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Church of the Resurrection, 4300 Asbury Road, with Rev. Mark D. Murphy officiating. To celebrate Fred's life, family and friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2016, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street, where there will be a parish scripture wake service held at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League.

Frederick was born on December 8, 1930, in Dubuque, IA, son of Karl and Mary (Langen) Uthe .

Fred proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Fred earnestly invested 30 years of his working career at J.C. Penney's before eventually retiring in 1992. During his free time, Fred had three definitively favorite interests; art, model railroading and family. Art was an outlet for Fred to freely express himself and his artwork will be cherished by family and friends. His second passion of trains was an itch which would never be cured. Model railroading easily delivered years of fun with family and friends. Finally though, Fred's greatest pleasure was the times spent with his family both at home and on vacation.

As we move forward in our lives, we know that the impact he's left behind on the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him will last until the end of time.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia L. (Earle) Uthe ; their 4 children, Janet Uthe , Middleton, WI, Mark (Deb) Uthe , Manchester, IA, Diane (Kurt) Trimborn, Johnson Creek, WI, Linda (Kevin) Miller, Center Point, IA; his 14 grandchildren: Jennifer (fiancé Ray Henning) Uthe , Patrick Kramer, Steve (Lauren) Trimborn, Amanda (Brennan) Melloy, Molly Kramer, Charlie Uthe , McKenna Miller, Garrett Trimborn, Reece Miller, Nickolas Uthe and Kaitlyn Uthe ; and his 5 great-grandchildren: Mason, Aiden, Braelyn, Kinley and Lydia Henning.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law Rosemary (Charles) Uthe ; a brother-in-law, Roger (Karen) Earle both, of Dubuque, IA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; brother Charles; a sister in infancy; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his wife's parents; two brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
