He grew to manhood in this community and then moved to Armour, S. D. and in 1902 he homesteaded south of Kennebec, S. D. where he lived most of his life except for a few years in Minnesota. He married Lucy McIntire and four children were born. The youngest son Carl preceded him in death. He leaves his wife Lucy McIntire; two sons Arlo McIntire and Frank McIntire and family; one daughter, Mrs. A. M. Croston and children. He also leaves 8 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, two nephews and one niece. Burial was made in the Reliance, S. D. Cemetery with Rev. R. B. Bonney officiating.
