The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Tokiko was born on April 7, 1935 in Yokosuka, Japan. She married Dennis J. Schroeder on August 27, 1962 in Tokyo, Japan. Tokiko enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, especially her famous egg rolls, her weekly euchre games, but most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Tokiko is survived by 5 children: Barbara (Dennis) Willett of Dubuque, IA, Todd Schroeder of Kieler, WI, Laura (Monte) Spillane of Markesan, WI, Lisa Schroeder of Sun City, AZ & Michael (Lisa) Schroeder of Dubuque, IA; 7 grandchildren: Morgan (Zach) Wilming, Drew (Paisley Kascel) Steines, Kylee (Jake) Radmer, Katie (Kyle) Jahnke, Sydney, Blake & Scarlett Schroeder; 5 great-grandchildren: Emmie, Lorelai & Palmer Wilming, Ada Jahnke & Violet Radmer; 3 siblings: Nabuo, Shinako & Tsayko Nishibe all of Japan; sister-in-law, Audrey (Aaron) Digman in Monroe, WI; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Dennis (February 8, 2007), 4 siblings: Kaneo (Michiko) Nishibe, Fumiko (Bob) Pyle, Akiko (Ben) Lagman & Tomiko (Genji) Ito and in-laws: Betty (Tom) Dent, Dorothy Mae (Keith) Wedig, Madonna (Truman) Bowden, Rita (Jack) Tracy & Linda Kieffer. |

| Death | 15 December 2025 | Fidalia Ann Dahmen died on 15 December 2025 at age 103 Fidalia Ann “Dale” Breunig, age 103 died on December 15, 2025, at Maplewood Nursing Home, Sauk City. She was born on the family farm in the Town of Springfield on April 6th, 1922, the daughter of the late Anton (Tony) and Elizabeth (Schoepp) Dahmen. She was united in marriage to Leo Norbert Breunig on June 27th, 1946, at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Ashton, Wisconsin. Dale had been employed as a banquet waitress for 29 years at the historic Riverview Ballroom and Restaurant in Sauk City, Wisconsin, working under four different owners until it closed in 2004. During that time, she also served the Sauk Prairie Optimists for their breakfast meeting every Wednesday morning and was named an honorary member of their club in appreciation. She was also employed by the Sauk City library for 26 years, providing custodial services. She was joined by her husband in this work for the last 15 years of her employment there. She was a member of the Saint Aloysius Catholic Church and over the years served as a Eucharistic Minister, Greeter, Church usher, and Adult Choir member. She was a member of the council of Catholic women and a member of the Catholic Daughters. In later years, she enjoyed her weekly Tuesday morning coffee group. She was a 50-year member of the Catholic Knights organization. She was an active member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society and a dedicated volunteer. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and growing flowers, especially geraniums. She was known for her lovely flowerbeds. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds at the many birdfeeders in her yard. While her husband was alive, they enjoyed traveling and loved music and dancing. They were members of the Lodi Valley square dance club for 20 years prior to his death in 1998. She is survived by her four children: Eileen (Gary) Ripp-Emerson, Madison Wisconsin; Kathleen (special friend Ron Ossenfort), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jeffrey (Mary Ann), Fairfax, Virginia; and Douglas (Ann), Sauk City, Wisconsin. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jay (Lisa) Ripp, Eric (Ixchel) Ripp, Jeremy (Mindy) Ripp, Tamara (Dave) Karakis, Scott (Kathryn) Breudecheck, Kyle (Danielle) Breunig, and Kasey Breunig. She was known as “Great Grandma B” to fourteen great grandchildren: Hillary and Kallie Ripp, Ethan (Lilly), Isabelle, and Oakley Ripp, Aidan, Cooper and Silas Ripp, Tanner and Julie Karakis, Colton Drews, Aubree and Haylee Breunig, and Eleanor “Nellie” Breudecheck. Also survived by one brother Don Dahmen; and two sisters; Antoinette “Neddy” Juris and Theresa Sheldon and brother-in-law, Jim Masak. She was known as “Auntie Dale” to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers, Chris (Emma) Dahmen, Greg (Mary Ann) Dahmen, and Florian (Charlene) Dahmen, sister-in-law Gerry Dahmen and two brothers-in-law, Leon Juris and Eugene Sheldon. Also preceded in death by several nieces and nephews. |

She worked at the telephone office in Alcester before her marriage to Morris Hongslo, June 3, 1940, at Big Springs Baptist church. The couple owned and operated a grocery store in Alcester until their retirement. Mr. Hongslo died in 1974. She continued to live in Alcester until entering the nursing home in August 1988. Survivors include a son, James of Fairmont, Minn., a former Akron resident; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Marlene) James of Beresford; and five grandsons. |
