Death7 April 2011Lillian Elaine Wevik died on 7 April 2011 at age 83 Lillian E. "Lil" Floros died Thursday, April 7, 2011, after an active and meaningful life of 83 years. Lil was a prominent figure in the life of Mount Prospect ever since she and her family moved to the village in 1959. She immersed herself almost immediately as a group leader in the Campfire Girls organization. She was active in that organization for nearly 20 years. A highlight of that chapter in Lil's active life was her chaperoning 16 high school girls on a whirlwind week-long tour of New York City. Lil wrote a column for the Daily Herald and the now defunct Prospect Day. Her journalistic efforts date back to her college days when she served as editor of the Wright College News in Chicago. Lil was a member of the staff at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mount Prospect, where she organized the Senior Citizens group called the Breakfast Club. She also directed the year-round activities of the St. Mark Center for 25 years. At the village level, Lil was a member of the Mount Prospect Woman's Club and as an original member of the Sister Cities Commission; she helped to select the village's Sister City - Sevres, France. She was chairman of the village's year-long celebration of its 75th anniversary and subsequently became co-chair of the Special Events Commission. In that capacity, she played a key role in the establishment of the Shining Awards program and the Celestial Celebration banquet at which the award winners are honored. Lil received one of those awards herself in 2007, in recognition of her tireless efforts on behalf of the village. Lil is survived by her husband of 62 years, Leo Floros; daughters, Carol (Carol Koszola) Floros and Dr. Nancy (Greg) Rajanen; and grandchildren, Adam and Krista Rajanen. Visitation will be Sunday, April 10, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect. Services will be held Monday, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 S. Wille St., Mount Prospect, with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to St. Mark Lutheran Church.

Birth17 August 1904Myron G. Ehrlich was born on 17 August 1904 at District of Columbia also reported as Maryland.
He was the son of Harry Ehrlich and Dorothy Troshinsky.
Death22 December 1970Myron G. Ehrlich died on 22 December 1970 at of cancer, Washington, District of Columbia, at age 66 also reported as 23 Dec 1970; Myron G. Ehrlich, a Washington lawyer who appeared at many political hearings, died Tuesday at the home of his brother Alvin. He was 65 years old. Mr. Ehrlich, a native of Washington, studied law at George Washington University and was admitted to the District of Columbia bar in 1929. He was commissioned in the Navy in World War II serving as a legal officer in Britain and later helping to reduce a backlog of court-martial cases. He became inspector general of naval courts and a special assistant to the Navy Judge Advocate and to the Under Secretary of the Navy, reaching the rank of captain. At the end of the war he went to the Philippines as an adviser to Gov. Paul V. McNutt.
After returning to his Washington law practice, he was counsel to John F. Maragon, who was accused of influence peddling in the “five per center” hearings before a Senate investigations subcommittee. In 1953 he was retained by the Senate Democratic minority to represent Senator Dennis Chavez in upholding his 1952 election victory over Patrick J. Hurley before the subcommittee on privileges and elections. In 1964 he was counsel to Nancy Carole Tyler, secretary to Robert G (Bobby) Baker, in Rules Committee hearings into the affairs of the former secretary to the Democratic majority. Mr. Ehrlich appeared as one of the witnesses before the Senate subcommittee on constitutional rights opposing legislation that would have reversed a Supreme Court decision that mere delay in arraignment is ground for excluding a confession from evidence.
He and other criminal lawyers testified that the only way of ensuring that a defendant knew his constitutional rights was to bring him before a magistrate promptly.
Beside his brother, Alvin, he is survived also by a daughter, Mrs. David Marshall; two grandchildren; three other brothers, J. W. (Jake) Ehrlich, San Francisco lawyer and author, E. Jack Ehrlich and Samuel Z. Ehrlich; and a sister Mrs. Fran Garner. A military funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday in the chapel at Fort Myer, Va.

August 2008In August 2008 "The price keeps dropping on this 1952 custom Charles Goodman built for Alvin Q. Ehrlich, a veteran Washington advertising, marketing and public relations executive who died in 1989. When I originally visited the home in Bradley Hills Grove in the fall of 2006, it was listed at $1.6 million and the owners were in the midst of remodeling their spacious kitchen, which now has a curious mix of cabinet styles and counters. The home then dropped to $1.4 million and then to around $1.2 million before becoming a rental. The 4/3, 3,192 sq. ft. ranch on nearly an acre with a pool is now back on the market at $1.13 million, a $470K price reduction." moderncapital.blogspot.com.
