Rutherford, age 89 years. Andrew S. Rutherford was born in Veva, Switzerland County, Indiana, September 8, 1812. At the age of 17 years he moved to Louisville, Kentucky, and learned the trade of plastering. From there he moved to Calhoun County, Illinois, and there he married November 10, 1842, to Rachael Fenner. They moved to Labette, Indiana, in 1850, and then to Wisconsin and in 1872 to Phillips County, Kansas, where they have resided ever since. The deceased leaves a loving wife, three daughters, and two sons to mourn his loss. The remains were laid to rest in the Kirwin Cemetery August 22.
