Creasey, the last of nine children, was born on the 27 June 1912 in Geddes, S.D., to Algernon and Maggie Long Creasey. He married Wanda Strehlow in Geddes, S.D. in 1934. He moved to Eugene in 1936 and worked as a yardmaster for Southern Pacific railroad for 37 years. He retired in 1973. He enjoyed gardening and golf, and was an avid reader. In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Jim of Eugene, Lon of Tomball, Texas, and David of Junction City; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
England's Eugene Memorial Chapel is in Charge of arrangements. At Creasey's request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
