She was born on September 23, 1931 in rural Loganville, the daughter of Albert and Christine (Menzel) Pulvermacher. Kathy was a graduate of the Sauk County Normal School. She taught in rural schools for several years. On May 20, 1952, she was married to Buford "Buff" Mallo. Together they operated Kathy's Music Shop and Radio Shack in downtown Reedsburg until their retirement. She and Buff enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and abroad. Kathy enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and the company of her cat, Missy. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Sauk County Retired Teachers and a former member of the Reedsburg Senior Seranaders. She is survived by a special cousin: Catherine (Joe) Schmitz, of Hillpoint; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buff, on October 27, 2013 and her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg with Father David Carrano officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg where the parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
