She is survived by: Her son: William (Jean) Mellentine of Reedsburg. Grandsons: Nathan Mellentine of Reedsburg, James (Laurie) Myers Jr. of Reedsburg. Great-grandson: Shadoe Mellentine of Reedsburg. Three nieces: Carol, Debbie, Pat and their families. Special friends: Bill Rhode of Rock Springs, Esther Hinze of Reedsburg. Along with other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Eleanor J. Schluter will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2003 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Dr. James Steinbrecher officiating. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Leonhard and Emma; and her husband, Alton Henke. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at the Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. "Al" Kraemer, age 81, entered eternal life surrounded by loved ones at the Bethesda Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002. He was born on April 29, 1921, in Plain, Wis., the first of 15 children of Alphonse and Mary (Frank) Kraemer. Al graduated from St. Luke High School in 1938. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II from 1942 until 1945 as a technical sergeant in the finance department at Harlingen Army Air Field. He married Helenmarie Zeller on Nov. 9, 1946, and that union was blessed with nine children. On April 1, 1948, Al co-founded Kraemer Brothers, General Contractors in Plain with his brothers, Linus and Norman. The company grew into one of the top 400 construction companies in the U.S. as ranked by the Engineering News Record. He served the corporation as president and subsequently chairman of the board until his retirement to Florida in 1985. Al was very community minded as evidenced by some 25 years in village politics where he served several terms as village president and oversaw many significant community developments. He was also the charter president of the Plain Lions Club, which he was a member of until his retirement. Al and Helenmarie enjoyed 42 years of marriage until her death in 1988. On Nov. 4, 1989, he married Garaldine Tomailo who has been his loving companion for the past 13 years. Al was a deeply religious man of high moral character and principals. He was an active member of St. Luke's Catholic Church, Plain, and St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Boynton Beach, Fla. Al was also a member of the Catholic Knights of Columbus. Al was a very outgoing and friendly person who cherished his family and friendships. One of his favorite sayings was, "Who has more fun than people?" Al is survived by his nine children, Patti (Mike) Czechanski, Marty (Linda), Diane (Rick) Kraemer-Webb, Karl (Mary), Douglas (Stephanie), Kevin (Diane), Camille (special friend Tim Murphy), Lois (Jim) Schweiss and Maureen (special friend Eric Ruhland); 21 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his wife, Geraldine; step-children, Debra (Bruce) Cozenza and George (Patti) Russell; five step-grandchildren; brothers, Norman (Louise) and Bob (Betty); sisters, Loraine (Monroe) Haas, Florence Schluter, Marie (Jim) Zajicek, Betty (Brian) Scallon, Helen (Dean) Taylor, Ann (Tom) Gerothanas and Karol (Charlie) Wichmann; and sisters-in-law, Florence (Linus) Kraemer and Jean (Bill) Miller. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse and Mary; wife, Helenmarie; grandson, Narayana Schweiss; a brother, Linus; sisters, Bernice, Dolores and Grace Kraemer, and Irene Esch; and brothers-in-law, Bill Schluter, Bob Esch and Bill Miller. Survivors include, 6 children, Jim (Linda) of Madison, Jack (Mary) of Plain, Jan (Bob) Sloan of Fall Creek, WI, Jeff (Cindy), Jay (Deb) and Jerry (Peg) all of Plain, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 7 siblings, Norm (Louise), Marie Zajicek, Helen Taylor, Bob (Betty), Betty Scallon, Ann (Tom) Gerothanas, Karol (Charlie) Wichmann, a sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Donna Schluter, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including her longtime friend Marie Liegel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphons and Mary Kraemer, her husband, Bill Schluter, a daughter, Joni, 2 brothers, Alfred and Linie, 2 sisters, Irene Esch and Lorraine Haas and 3 infant sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain. Fr. Mike Resop and Msgr. Charles Schluter will concelebrate with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. and again on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. Death21 January 2013He died on 21 January 2013 at Madison, Dane, Wisconsin, at age 78 Ronald “Dean” Taylor, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at University Hospital in Madison. He was born in Leland on July 15, 1934, to Vernon and Edna Fuchs Taylor.

He graduated from Prairie du Sac High School in 1952, where he excelled in baseball and basketball. Dean enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Korean War. Upon returning from the service, he married Helen Kraemer on April 7, 1956, at St. Luke’s in Plain. He owned and operated Dean’s Masonry for many years and was proud to work with his sons, Tim and Terry, who now operate the business.

Dean was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, trail rides in the golf cart and bowling on the Dean’s Masonry Bowling Team. He is a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and former member of the Plain Legion.

Dean is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen; four sons, Tim (Jeanne) of Prairie du Sac, Terry (Karen) of Prairie du Sac, Torey of Harmony Grove and Rod (Lisa) of Greenville; two grandchildren, Lewis (Amanda) Taylor and Stella Taylor; one great-grandchild, Waylon Taylor; and three sisters, Yvonne Brewer, Marlys Yarowski and Rita Merkel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Bob Brewer.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, where a rosary will be prayed at 2:30 p.m.

Marvin was born Sept. 30, 1919, in Madison, WI, the son of Herman W. and Agnes (Baumgarten) Licht. Marvin was confirmed April 9, 1933, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Freedom. He was a graduate of North Freedom High School. He was united in marriage to Ruth Shimniok on Nov. 8, 1947, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Freedom. Marvin farmed all his life in the North Freedom area. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Marvin is survived by his wife, Ruth of North Freedom; two daughters, Shirley (James) Roecker of Reedsburg, and Linda (Ron) Green of Menasha; two sons, Marvin D. Light, and Daniel (Judy) Licht, all of North Freedom; six grandchildren, Michael (Vicky) Steinmetz, Kari and Andrew Licht, and Sarah, David and Daniel Roecker; and two greatgrandchildren, Brendan and Cameron Steinmetz. He is further survived by three sisters, Arloween Dyan of Waunakee, Althea (Burdell) Trow of Brooklyn, and Sylvia King of Poynette; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Gertrude Pieper; a brother, Norman Licht; and two brothers-in-law, Leonard King and Merlyne Pieper. Funeral services for Marvin will be held Monday, April 1, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 524 East St., Baraboo, with Pastor Thomas Fricke officiating. Friends may call Sunday, March 31 from 4-8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave., Baraboo, and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at the church. Interment will be at the Kingston Cemetery in the Township of Merrimac.
