MarriageClara Ellen Goodwin married Frank Briggs Clark.
Birth5 November 1859Clara Ellen Goodwin was born on 5 November 1859 at Maine.
Death18 December 1930She died on 18 December 1930 at Madison, Dane, Wisconsin, at age 71 Clara Ellen Goodwin, second child of Mr. & Mrs. C. A. Goodwin, was born in Biddeford, Maine, Nov. 5th, 1859. For a year and a half this was her home and then her parents joined the crowds who were on the westward march to Wisconsin.

In 1880 she became the wife of Frank B. Clark of Reedsburg, and as the years passed, the mother of two daughters, the younger of whom, Orie, Mrs. Cecil Gorton, died in Philadelphia some eight years ago. The older daughter, Jessie, Mrs. E. H. Kifer resides in San Antonio, Texas where Mrs. Clark has passed the winter months for many years.

In 1908, while the family were living in Baraboo, Mr. Clark was called home and from that time, Madison has been her home.

Mrs. Clark was one who thorolly enjoyed life. Her disposition was naturally cheerful and happy and everything possessed an interest for her, especially the great outdoors. After nature, it was nature's children. She never forgot a friend or acquaintance and wherever she went, always found someone she had known perhaps long ago.

To the duties of life she was always faithful, but never imposed her cares or sorrows on others.

On Dec. 18th, 1930, after a week of intense suffering, she quietly slipped away, the immediate cause of her death being pneumonia.

Funeral services were held from the Grace Episcopal Church, Madison, of which she had long been a loyal member, conducted by the rector, Dr. Lumpkin; also in the Presbyterian Church of Reedsburg, with Mr. Foster as pastor.

Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery by the side of her husband who had many years gone before.
