He was an avid collector of gas station memorabilia and enjoyed showing it off whenever possible.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Verna; son, Paul (Becky) Dagen and daughter, Linnea (Craig) Fuerst of Mitchell; five grandchildren: Benjamin (Jessica) Fuerst of Mitchell, Sarah Fuerst of Yankton, Travis (Chelsea) Dagen, Zach Dagen and Alex Dagen of Mitchell; two great grandchildren, Kaylie and Kaleb Fuerst of Mitchell; five brothers and sisters: Ilene Thackeray of Florida, Gerald (Dorothy) Degen and LeRoy (Dottie) Degen all of Mitchell, Charles (Sandy) Degen of Alexandria, SD, Charlotte (Arland) Lindsley of Piedmont, SD; a sister-in-law, Pat Degen of Sioux Falls, SD and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Jacque Degen and brother, Theodore Degen Jr.

He was employed by Iowa Steel and Iron Works in Cedar Rapids and later by Ryerson Steel in Chicago, IL. He retired in 1991. Bob liked woodworking, reading, genealogy, and photography.

Rita worked at the Dubuque Packing Company, and after getting married, she worked alongside her husband, Jerome, farming for many years while continuing to raise her family. Later on she worked in food service at UW-Platteville. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Platteville, where she gave of her time and talents for many years. She enjoyed going on bus trips and her daily coffee clutch group at McDonald’s. Rita’s main focus in life was her family, and especially spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rita is survived by six children, Jerry (Gail) Schaefer, Dennis “Butch” (Sandy) Schaefer, Karen Humphrey, Jane (Kevin) Neller, Marilyn (Kevin) Wall and Ron (Barb) Schaefer; 8 grandchildren; Chad Schaefer, Chelsea Becwar, Amy (Nick) Olsen, DeAnne (Mike) Spalla, Taylor Wall, Krista, Kate (fiance, Katelyn Mathews) and Jay Schaefer; 6 great-grandchildren; Harper Olsen, Landon and Hudson Spalla, Kenzie, Trenton and Luke Regan, one sister, Mariella Schmitz, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerome, her parents, Arnold and Lorena Wiederholt, her grandson, Jeremy Schaefer, her brother, Gene Wiederholt and several brothers and sisters-in-laws.

She married Harold A. Maneman on June 25, 1946 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Cuba City. Bernice and Harold loved traveling and went on many bus trips. She had visited every state in the U.S. except for Alaska and Louisiana.
Along with being a wonderful homemaker, Bernice was employed at Xavier Hospital until it closed and at Mercy Hospital until her retirement.
Bernice was an avid card player, especially euchre and loved being around her family. She will be missed by many.
Surviving are her children, Terry ( Cathy) Maneman, Sara (Russ) Walske, and June (Jerry) Stecklein, all of Dubuque; grandchildren, Keri Robinson, Jeffrey (Sonda) Maneman, Nicholas Maneman, Matt ( Tonya Hancock) Walske, Jill (Brian Carpenter) Walske, Erin (Mark) Hefel, Amy (Kyle) Phillips, Adam (Catherine) Stecklein, and Allie Stecklein; and 7 great- grandchildren; and her sister, Jean (Chuck) Williams, of Mantachie, Mississippi .
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and siblings, Art, Clara, Ervin, Donald, Frank, Howard and Irma.

He married Bernice Hinderman on June 25, 1946, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Cuba City. That same year, the two moved to Dubuque and Harold started working at John Deere Dubuque Works, where he worked for 34 years, retiring in 1982.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and its Holy Name Society. Harold also was a member of the American Legion Post of Hazel Green. He enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice, of Dubuque; his children, Terry (Cathy) Maneman, Sara (Russ) Walske and June (Jerry) Stecklein, all of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Keri Robinson, Jeffrey (Sonda) Maneman, Nicholas (Katie) Maneman, Matt and Jill Walske, Erin (Mark) Hefel, Amy (Kyle) Phillips and Adam and Allie Stecklein; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry; and two sisters, Marian Urban and Irma Courtade.

Irma was born on July 1, 1932, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Henry V. and Helen (Machler) Hinderman. She married John M. Keleher on September 19, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 22, 2006. Irma worked with John in the insurance industry and farmed beside him for many years. She enjoyed square dancing, traveling, playing cards and doing crossword puzzles. Survivors include six children, Karen (Greg) Smith, of Apple River, Illinois, Dennis (Debbie) Keleher, of East Dubuque, Illinois, David Keleher, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Diane Keleher, of Sherwood, Oregon, Deb (Larry) Hellmer-Steele, of Newberg, Oregon, and Gary (John McIntyre) Keleher, of Rochester, New York; two sisters, Bernice Manemann, of Dubuque, Iowa, and Jean (Chuck) Williams, of Mantachie, Mississippi; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Eric; a sister, Clara; and five brothers, Art, Erv, Doc, Frank and Howard.

John was born June 21, 1925 in Streator, Ill., the son of Charles and Emma (Nolan) Keleher.

He married Irma Hinderman on Sept. 19, 1950. John farmed from 1952 to 1972 in the Darlington area. He was an insurance agent for Rural Insurance Companies from 1965 until his retirement in 1989.

John was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Irma; six children: Karen (Greg) Smith, DePere; Dennis (Debbie) Keleher, Dickeyville; David Keleher, Fredericksburg, Va; Diane Keleher, Sherwood, Ore; Deb (Larry) Hellmer-Steele, Newberg, Ore; Gary Keleher, Rochester, N.Y; four sisters: Mary Holland, Elizabeth, Ill; Regina (Walter) Alber, Monroe; Kate Deutsch, Galena, Ill; Charlene (Richard) Schiltz, Roseville, Calif; five brothers: Clarence Keleher, Darlington; Marlin Keleher and Emmett (Arlene) Keleher, both of Galena, Ill; Vernon Keleher, Chino Valley, Ariz; Kenneth Keleher, Sycamore, Ill; 10 grandchildren: Angie Pickel, Eric Keleher, Scott Smith, Chrissie Smith, Steve Keleher, Jaime Keleher, Michael Hellmer, Andy Hellmer, Laura Steele, Amanda Steele; and three great-granchildren: Ethan Pickel, Elayna Pickel and Chloe Keleher.

Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Dickeyville. The Rev. Francis Steffen will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25 at the Casey Funeral Home, Cuba City, where a parish wake service will be at 3.

A private visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Holy Ghost Church, Dickeyville, Wisconsin, with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Services will be live streamed at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday through Facebook on the funeral home page. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is assisting the family.

Diane was born on March 31, 1956, in Darlington, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Irma (Hinderman) Keleher. Diane spent many years in Darlington, Monroe, and Platteville, where she graduated from UW-Platteville. She moved to Oregon in 1990 to be near her sisters and their families. For the past 30 years, Diane embodied the spirit of the Pacific Northwest – working for Nike, Inc., running marathons and half marathons, and golfing.

Diane was a much-loved member of her local curling club, and enjoyed everything Portland and the Willamette Valley have to offer. She kept her Midwestern roots alive, and would make frequent trips back to Wisconsin to visit family and friends. Diane was a beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, and partner. She was an amazing aunt to her ten nieces and nephews and their children. Her last years were spent in the company of her partner, Dave. They enjoyed an active life together and were looking forward to a future full of love, travel, golf, and time together. Diane will be remembered as a sweet and selfless person, and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her longtime partner, David Milne; sisters, Karen (Greg) Smith, Apple River, IL, and Debra (Larry) Hellmer-Steele, Newberg, OR; brothers, Dennis (Debbie) Keleher, East Dubuque, IL, and Gary (John McIntyre) Keleher, Rochester, NY; nieces and nephews, Angela (Rod Leibfried) Pickel, Scott (Josh Yates) Smith, Chrissie (Julia) Smith, Stephen (Emily) Keleher, Michael Hellmer, Jamie (Alex Wheeler) Keleher, Andy (Chloe Bubion) Hellmer, Laura (Curran) Gahan, and Amanda Steele; and 13 great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, David Keleher; and a nephew, Eric Keleher.

Eloise was born on June 16, 1929 to George & Cecelia (Brandt) Kruser in Jamestown, WI. She married Donald “Doc” E. Hinderman on October 8, 1946 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sinsinawa, WI. Together they farmed in rural Cuba City, WI until Doc’s retirement in 1973 and then moved to Kieler, WI. Her and Doc enjoyed going dancing at Melody Mill and saw Johnny Cash twice. Eloise enjoyed sewing, camping at Lake Joy, fishing, traveling, an avid Green Bay Packer fan, and devoted Fox News follower. Most important to Eloise was spending time with her family, where she planned the annual Kruser picnic. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Eloise is survived by one daughter, Cheryl (Terry) Seng of Platteville, WI; 3 sons: Gerald “Jerry” Hinderman of Cuba City, WI, Al (Bev) Hinderman of Sherrill, IA and Mark (Lorinda) Hinderman of Potosi, WI; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Hinderman of Sherrill, IA; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings: Marie Williamson, David (Ruth) Kruser, Carol Cherrey and Donna Mae Reuter; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald “Doc” (October 9, 2002), a daughter, Doris (1972), two sons: Dalen (1963) and Merle (2009), 3 siblings: Teddy (Patti) Kruser, Olive Ann (Andy) Kieler and Freddy Kruser, and 2 brothers-in-law: Buddy Cherrey and Francis Reuter.
